If that were true, a) the first class ticket needed to exist and b) it needed to be cheaper on the airlines website.
Therefore it wouldnt be available at any price - cheaper or more expensive. For various reasons booking with a 3rd party can be cheaper. In this case it wasn't cheaper nor did it exist. But if you tend to fly within europe and are used to booking with just ryanair and easyjet I can see where you are coming from...
Not sure what Easyjet Ryanair have to do with anything.By the way, this wasn't a life or death booking; i saw a great opportunity but this time it wasn't to be. So feel free to sleep at night worried MSErs! :rotfl:0 -
First class tickets airline were sold but get this - the tickets didn't include luggage or meals!!!
Clearly mis-sold. Refund is not forthcoming, managers are total rubbish and do not know their left hand from their right
Have already been in touch with CheapMcNasty Air and they use a variety of stalling tactics such as
1. Pretending i need to pay a cancellation fee if I want a refund
(already dealt with that).
2. Giving varying time periods for a refund.
3. Denying a refund has begun
4. Inventing new departments and saying they are dealing with your enquiry
5. Lying
6. Pretending they are doing you a favour by agreeing to refund tickets without a charge (lol)
7. Not entering refund request on system
It goes on..
It's a joke, CheapOMcNasties should be ashamed of themselves - NO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE MONEY0 -
OP - what was the reason for your abusive PM?
Just realised, Easter holidays.
The abuse was consistent with something a 12 year old would say.0 -
Pollycat - i know you spend a lot of time on here and this is kind of your second home. So i guess admitting you were wrong isn't the easiest thing but... your original assertion wasBut you've just proved that you didn't get the best deal this time by going through a 3rd party agent instead of direct with the airline.
There was no lower price, even booking direct with the airline. So if that's the only price available for anyone booking... it's actually the best price :rotfl: Have a slice of humble pieBobcrowther wrote: »OP - what was the reason for your abusive PM?
Abusive? That's me being affectionate. :beer:0 -

You seem to be having difficulty understanding that anybody can price a non-existent item/service up very cheaply (as did your shonky 3rd party agent) and then refund when somebody points out that the item/service is not what was promised.
Here's a deal - I can offer you 1st class flatbed seats, with free champagne and caviar from LHR to IOM for 2 shillings and sixpence.
I guaranteee this is the cheapest price you'll ever find.
Get it?Abusive? That's me being affectionate.
Sending private messages with the content you actually admit to is probably not the view that MSE would take.
Also posted for posterity:I was simply pointing to the fact this user has a head shaped like male g*****a. A reminder we're on a rant page on a website called money saving expert so, yes, saving money it is a matter of great importance.0 -
oh those people...oh dear:)
Heeeeeeeeey!I have had to fly with Ryanair - they're the only airline which flies to the closest airport to my in-laws. I don't particularly want to, but needs must (it's a case of a half an hour round trip or a 2 hour round trip for them to pick us up) I don't moo or eat grass (yet) and I'm told I'm very well behaved. :j :rotfl:
I still can't get over how a company called Cheapoair actually exists - or how they're (or anyone) are taking themselves seriously! I don't think I could work there without giggling! :rotfl:0 -
Not man enough to respond to my question, eh OP?
Good to know that MSE condone idiots sending abusive PMs.0 -

It's a hilarious name, agreed!
Apparently they are a multinational based in New York. I got a call from Customer Service in the USA who informed me about the refund. Low and behold it appeared 24 hours later
From Wikipedia:The agency is currently based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, but Jain envisions operating bases in 15 different countries in the future. This would theoretically provide country-specific deals, products, and services to a wider customer base.
I guess they are one of those companies that are so big these kinds of delays aren't through design but more disorganisation. Still, no excuse for sluggish customer service.they're the only airline which flies to the closest airport to my in-laws. I don't particularly want to...
Fly to your in-laws or fly Ryaniar ... or both :rotfl:0 -
You could have a "First class" confusion, such as the service in second class was first class while the service in first class was second class. :cool:0

A few years ago, I flew with Buraq Air in Libya and due to the short notice, economy was fully booked and I had to pay for a business class seat.
The difference?
Same seats, same spacing, and same cabin crew.
The only difference was that business class passengers were handed 2 in flight meals when boarding. (These "meals" were small cardboard boxes containing a rock hard bun, a Kitkat and a carton of juice).0
