Was there any reason you decided to use a 3rd party agent instead of booking direct with the airline?

To be fair to the poster that you sent an abusive pm to (for which you might have been PPRd) - your reference to "CheapMcNasty Air" and "CheapOMcNasties" didn't make your post very clear.
It was only in the last half dozen or so words that you actually mentioned the agent you booked with - cheapoair.

If you'd posted this on Tripadvisor, you'd have got much less agreeable replies - as anybody who books with 3rd party agents instead of direct with the airline tends to get.

Price. I've been to over 120 countries and usually book direct but always check on price comparison sites first. It may have been a first class ticket but I'm always going to go for the best deal.

Everyone else seemed to get it - as they read my post in full.

I read your post in full and had no idea what you were on about. I still don't.

Also surprised you're naive enough to book with a such a company what with your wealth of travel experience

But you've just proved that you didn't get the best deal this time by going through a 3rd party agent instead of direct with the airline.

Do you think that AZALet website would have offered 1st class tickets when they knew they didn't have a 1st class section?
    Me neither.

I also read your post in full.

Actually, the poster immediately after the one you pmd, pointed out that cheapoair was a real company so if everybody 'got it' it was as a result of that, not your original cryptic post.

And this poster didn't get it either:

People who think they are getting the best deal.
Most (if not all) of these 3rd party websites don't have real-time prices anyway.

Clearly you didn't.. I guess you skip read it. You're forgiven, i won't mention specsavers ;)

Clue: it's at the end of my very first post - do forgive

If that were true, a) the first class ticket needed to exist and b) it needed to be cheaper on the airlines website.

For various reasons booking with a 3rd party can be cheaper. In this case it wasn't cheaper nor did it exist. But if you tend to fly within europe and are used to booking with just ryanair and easyjet I can see where you are coming from...

By the way, this wasn't a life or death booking; i saw a great opportunity but this time it wasn't to be. So feel free to sleep at night worried MSErs! :rotfl:

    Not really.

Unless you actually know that there is a company called Cheapoair, then the last line seems to be in the same vein of the rest of the rant and Cheapoair was just another derogatory name thrown in.
