Hi guys looking a type of car like Nissan Juke, Suzuki Jimmy, dacia duster, it's just myself who will use it and my and my partne enjoy going the Lake District, can anyone recommend which would be cheaper, I am looking at spending about 9500 max really unless I got finance. And the new/less miles the better, been looking at the car people, Arnold Clarke and fords of wins ford but can't find many selling the Suzuki Jimny.

Thanks

The Lake District has what to do with these particular cars?

They're pointless, they're no good as a 4x4, they're top heavy and handle like a bag of spanners, they have little/no boot space and etc etc etc etc.

The lake district does have tarmac roads, I don't know if you realise this.

I did the peak district a few years ago in my Vectra on the way back from York, it was snowing.

They need the 4x4 capabilities for the gravelled carparks of course. Although none of my 2WD cars have ever had issues.

I can see the benefit of these cars, as you are higher up than std cars; I've driven the Nissan Juke, a bit small in the back, but depends on who sits there in your situation.
We changed our car recently ,,, and went for a Fiat 500L Beats trekking. nice to be high up.

So don't listen to the nahsayers - go for what you want.

Out of those 3 go for the Nissan, at least you've a hope of getting back without breaking down or something falling off.

Thanks yea was thinking the juke a little more, sorry when I meant going makes I don't mean like a Range Rover where I would go off road etc lol and not buying in the way for the Lake District etc, just getting a little older now and liking the look of a bit of a taller car likes these 3 types, when I was younger I always used to see the black Suzuki jimny type cars and fancied getting one when I was older but they seemed to vanish by the time I was oldenough to drive.

Different sizes - small, medium and large. The Jimny is very compromised as a road car compared to the Juke and Duster but it has bags of character. The Juke is a competent vanilla car.

My choice would be the Jimny but I like cars with character.

I was looking at a Juke but the reviews were universally awful; it's too compromised and terrible at everything (though reliability isn't bad). I'd probably go for the Duster - it's a bit basic, but seems pretty practical and comfortable. The white paint is particularly flimsy though, apparently.

the Jimny is a dreadful car for on road use, the Juke is very poor for visibility. A 2wd Dacia Duster would be the best choice of the three. Avoid Arnold Clark too would be my advice.
Subaru Forester, Rav4 would be good choices too.
