Candlelight and Lainey re:tartan, if you have access to Amazon Prime, watch Outlander, lots of horses too Lainey. The second series is just starting but the first was very good.
One warning, the sex is fairly explicit and there are some violent scenes, but it is very well done. It's been touted as the Scottish Game of Thrones but it is more historical than fantasy (albeit a bit of time travel thrown in). The acting is excellent and there are some big names in small parts (James Fleet, Simon Callow, Frances de la Tour in the second season).
No I don't work for them!
Ooh thank you for the recommendation Snoozer I do watch Game of Thrones as thoroughly enjoyed the books but must admit to hiding behind a pillow at the more violent scenes and shall we say, ahem, more adult themes.
Happy Birthday Nargleblast hope you have a lovely day.0 -

Good morning everyone :hello:
Oh Islandmaid, I didn't think you were being anything but funny. I had a proper snigger to myself, and if you could see me in a supermarket you would see that I am indeed channeling my inner Dale except I am not the same colour as a dorito:D.
Well it's the day before my birthday and I am being a harsh taskmaster and getting the girls to do a super clean as I have my friends coming to see me tomorrow. The house is beginning to sparkle now and hubby is cooking a roast leg of lamb so it smells lovely too. I am supervising and drinking tea:D:D.
I had a lovely lie-in today and didn't get up till 9am. Thankfully the dog had his legs crossed so there were no accidents to clean up. He is such a good pup, I feel so thankful he is in our lives. He is always smiling and wagging his tail. Everybody loves him even people who are nervous about being near dogs.
I've finally finished the bunny I was knitting, I've started another one but I don't know if I will be able to carry on as the wool is horrible to knit with, Sirdar Snowflake, I am finding it very frustrating to use.
Well, I am very happy that Gers, Hester and Judi are all back from their travels in one piece. I am also glad that Mr Candlelight is feeling a lot better. That is a lot of weight to lose quickly, he must be feeling more comfortable now. Hopefully his legs will be sorted out quickly too.
Happy Birthday Nargleblast, April birthdays are the best.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone, the girls are back to school tomorrow after their Easter holidays so it will be back to normal for us so they will be making the most of this afternoon and evening.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Yes, dumpling, April birthdays are brilliant, especially when the sun shines like today. My friend bought me a grown up colouring book and some crayons. I always fancied buying one as I liked colouring as a kid, but always thought "No, that would be silly." Well now I have my own book and can't wait to sit down later and get colouring! That, plus putting two loads of washing out on the line - I certainly know how to live it up! Hope everybody has a good day today! One life - your life - live it!0

Just had an unexpected phone call from my brother in France his partner Sandra collapsed and was taken into hospital on Friday as he was coming home from a short stay in there himself, and died this morning .Bless her she was only 64 and a bright bubbly lady who never seemed to suffer with a cold even:(:sad:
Luckily his son is over there at the moment and will stay with him for awhile. So much sadness in the world at the moment
R.I.P Sandra xx0 -
JACKIE I'm so very sorry for your loss, how sad that your brother is just getting his life back when this had to happen. It's good that his son is over with him but it must be so difficult to deal with when it comes out of the blue. I hope he (and you) manages to get through this difficult time and make a happy future for himself. Thoughts with you all, Lyn xxx.0
