In what way is the government pretending to be neutral when Mr. Cameron himself recently stated the government is not neutral?David Cameron has defended a government pro-EU membership campaign, amid criticism that £9m of public money is being spent on "one-sided propaganda".
The PM said the government was "not neutral" in the referendum and the cost was "money well spent".Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Perhaps Michael Gove was right.
Perhaps the £9m should have been spent on adult literacy.0 -

There are plenty of UK printers who could've done this but not for the same price.
At least the printer wasn't from the US or France where print is poor quality, expensive and late.
Do you know if this went out to competitive tender?
Update : I fired off a question to my local MP and got a very prompt phone call back. There wasn't a clear answer, but the caller's experience of campaign material seemed broadly in line with figures I am aware of. He will ask the MP, so if I hear anything so will you.
If the German company can make profit at 30p per unit, including logistics, then a few Northern print firms will be pretty worried going forward.0 -
Hmm - just received a second copy today - they are trying to make sure.....I think....0

Due to the German quality of the print, the leaflet is very good at propping up my wonky table, so not a fruitless exercise in my book.
Why didn't they use a UK printer? This seems to be a bizarre oversight as not even the Government want to invest in the UK??
I hesitate to accuse you of spinning, but would you please point out where on the document it states that it was printed in Germany? I see no such reference.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. BBC Question Time was good this week. Some excellent points made by the Green and Conservative Out campaigners. What I found interesting is that everyone on the panel, including the fervent Eurocrats all agreed that the EU was corrupt, undemocratic and desperate for reform.
I had to agree with the Green party representative who said that the EU was unreformable. As she correctly stated, even with the threat of the exit of a member with the second largest economy in the EU, they could not bring themselves to make any reasonable reforms, just vague promises that they will allow the UK a moratorium on payment of in-work benefits to new migrants, which they can veto if it is actually attempted.
Another interesting point was that, despite Project Fear's insistence of EU import tariffs, not one single European country, whether inside or outside the EU has any tariffs against the import or export of goods. Unless the EU decides to set the UK as an example and set tariffs just for us (cutting of their nose to spite their face), it would seem that if we left, we would continue to have tariff free trading with our EU neighbours. Another prop of Project Fear collapses.0 -

It was a biased programme with 3 panellists out of 5 wanting out.
Please provide a direct quote from these fervent Eurocrats that actually said the EU was " corrupt". I think it is a figment of your imagination.
Daniel Hannan is my MEP. He recently said that when he went to Brussels in 1999 he was appalled at the excessive expenses. I would have more respect for him if he had said this at the time and not left his snout in the trough for 17 years.I had to agree with the Green party representative who said that the EU was unreformable. This is the same Green who confessed that she had no idea what her party's policies were on inheritance tax in the next question ?Another interesting point was that, despite Project Fear's insistence of EU import tariffs, not one single European country, whether inside or outside the EU has any tariffs against the import or export of goods. That is one of the purposes of the EU to remove trade tariffs. They are also removed from EFTA members joining the EEA. What has this to do with what you call Project Fear.
But name one of these nations who are in the EEA who do not have to pay towards the operation of the EU?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
