Just a thing about different businesses showing at the same address - when you do that find an address via a postcode thing, one of the houses in the road I live in shows about 9 different businesses at it. The guy who lives there is a home based accountant and they are his clients. So please, no stones through anyone's windows.

HG - you are absolutely correct that many different companies can be registered at a given address, albeit typically a business address and not a private residential address, and often not the trading address of the businesses. So yes, you do need to be careful and look at the information in context.

But it is certainly useful to try and track down rogue businesses that start up, take money and then disappear.

columbian tassimo tested at 9am, would have been 8.45 but the till messed up.

i got this one because i like the tassimo's with milk. it says on the pack its ok to add milk to this one. i must say that it aint bad with added milk, so i will now buy some coffee mate to go with them.

Milk is fine in any of the black coffee isn't it?

Just popping in whilst on a break at work, with a few possible wedding-related ideas.

Rhos, you said you might have a contact who can do a hog roast on the cheap? If not, I know from when I got married 2 years ago that we were quoted around £600-£800 for a proper 'hog roast', but it was only £350 for large roast pork rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and gravy, with cheese rolls for the veggies. There was no difference apart from the lack of actual pig-on-a-spit at the venue, so worth considering perhaps?

I noticed an offer for cheap pork joints a couple of days ago (I can't remember which shop it was, but I'm sure someone else could point you in the right direction), so if you had time and energy, you could cook it in advance, maybe freeze the meat in gravy, and then just serve up on plates so guests can just help themselves and add stuffing and gravy/apple sauce as wanted?

I do have a large stash of boxes of stuffing from when it was 26p in T Express, which I can now hardly eat as it gives me indigestion If they're in date then I could send them over, if you decide to do a DIY option. Otherwise there's some in-date ones on Approved Foods.

Also, about the photo booth, my bestie got married last summer and had this: http://www.argos.co.uk/v1/static/Product/partNumber/2283382.htm

So much cheaper and really fun. (I've now got 'Shake it like a Polaroid picture' in my head :D) I'd also go with the sweet table idea, it would cost maybe £10-15 at most and goes down well with kids and big kids alike! :p

Lastly, if she wanted a candyfloss option, there's this: http://www.argos.co.uk/v1/static/Product/partNumber/3899751.htm which I'm sure could be had cheaper second-hand elsewhere.

It's lovely to see the Elite coming together and helping each other out, it makes such a change from this time last week :T:T:T

Edit: this was the pork joint http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/morrisons-instore-boneless-pork-shoulder-joint-1-5kg-2-72-frozen-2429547 Not sure if it's nationwide though

I'm rather behind with couponing in A's lately, what's with the coupons on SS tills?
I had some free milk lacto coupons, and one apg, scanned them all, then put the cash in, and it them proceeded to reject all the coupons.

The SA (bit of a jobsworth) had to do it manually but didn't scan them and put the milk ones through as £1.38 ea rather than the £2 I told him and they'd scanned at before :(

Please be careful. We bought our house from people who ran a business from home, they got in financial difficulty sold up and disappeared. But their business went bust from this address and that has always stayed the same. There is no association between us and them but people search online, see their failed business and my business both registered here and assume there is a connection. When we first moved in I had a few people turn up at the door thinking they were speaking to the business owners of the previous business.
