Never submit a 2nd request for repayment once you have done it even if the option is there. It just resets the process and slows it down.Back to: FAQs Self Assessment FAQs
How long will my repayment take?
If you ask for your repayment online HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) aims to issue your repayment within 2 weeks. But due to the security checks that are in place to protect you from fraud it may take slightly longer. So, please allow up to 4 weeks before contacting HMRC about your request.
Only submit your request for repayment once - this will allow HMRC to reply quicker.0 -
