HMRC Self Assessment Repayments 2016

Hi people been following these self assessment forums for the last few years now. 2 years ago i had repayment within 2 weeks, last year I had my repayment after 5/6 weeks. I filed my online return for 2016-2017 on the 06/04/2017 at 15:48 as it kept telling me server down, on the 07/04/2017 I requested repayment as it said I was owed £££££. From the 08/04/2017 to present bank payment pending. In my opinion although it has updated today and it is always a day behind I think between tomorrow 19/04/2017 and 24/04/2017 is when we will start to see payments issued.

What do i go to check status online thanks

Tika go log in to your gov gateway account then press your account and down the left hand side it will say payments / credits received and underneath that it will say repayments. Press on either of these and it should tell you if it's bank repayment pending.

The system is set to update at the times it does regardless of bank holidays. Nothing would have been processed on the bank holidays.

when i go to account it has nothink with payment there

Are you in your self assessment account with your name at the top? Yes?
Well click on 'view account ' on the left hand side, then click on 'repayments'.

When did they bring in the extra security measure of sending a code to your mobile to log in? Don't remember this last year.

Ive had txts to log in last tax year and this year

Information as at 17/04/17 - Bank payment still pending.
Fingers crossed we all get some better news in tomorrow's HMRC update, "Issued" maybe....


Will update on here tomorrow morning.

Hi still pending here did 6th, was issued 15th April last year 17th april year before.
Fingers crossed it will be issued by Friday that's the 2 weeks since requested repayment
