Hi All,
I also rang and was told it had been extended and just to confirm the deadline on the website is now also showing at 30 April which is reassuring!! Yay for free points! :money:0 -
The weekly email from MSE says make sure you have your £1000 in account by 30 Apr but i thought you just had to have opened the account by 30 Apr and had to have the money in it by end May.
I've opened the account and am planning to stick £5000 in it just to get the points, transfer the money back to my other savings account and close the Tesco account when I get the points - I'd put a reminder in my diary for transferring money around mid-may but I'm now wondering if i'm running out of time??MS Stalwart. I think the email was referring to an offer that was on last August (IIRC) which has different timings to the current promotion AFAIK

I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:0 -
I put £5000 into my tesco account before the deadline to get the free points, so is it now safe to withdraw this money and still get the points?0

Everything about Tesco finance seems needlessly complex! has anyone had problems with their online service? I've been locked out 3 times so far, and the process to re-activate the service takes weeks, depriving customers of control over their finances.
I have used online banking for many years, and never ever experienced one as bad as this!
Does anyone have an email address for the 'Finance' Customer Services?0 -
I'd echo pauldreed's comments regarding the finance part of the Tesco website - the logon section is not easily found and is in the midst of other information. Their "contact us" links do not provide any email contact option.
We've been locked out of an account despite entering all the correct information.
I'd also be interested to learn why, when both A+L and Tesco have signed up to the sameday transfer service, transfers made last Friday have yet to show in our Tesco accounts?
We had a query on our clubcard, so looked on the clubcard part of their site in the FAQ's and to be fair our question was there with an answer that included the statement "so just give us a call on 0800 59 16 88* at a time that suits you both. " The page does not clarify what the * symbol means. I found out on the contact us page that that symbol relates to
"*Free from BT landlines. Other providers may charge. Calls may be recorded."
The contact us page however explains that the phone number is available:
"Lines are open Monday to Friday 9am - 8pm,
Saturday 9am - 6pm
Sunday Closed"
not therefore at a time that suits us - surely they can give a link from the FAQ page to the contact us one, so the number does not have to be shown on the former page and customers can see that the contact hours are restricted.
We then decided to email the Clubcard team, (at least you can email that section, unlike savings).
They have a dedicated email service which reads:
"Email Clubcard
Clubcard Number: (if applicable)First Name:Last Name:E-mail address:Would you like a reply from us: Yes No Your comment or question below:
If you are contacting us regarding a Deals order it will improve our service to you if you could provide us with the following information:- Your name:
- Your Clubcard number:
- Your Clubcard Deals Order number (if applicable): "
I was very surprised at how confusing, poorly laid out and long winded the whole site is.0 -
The points haven't shown up on my clubcard account yet. Is it safe to withdraw the money from the savings account or best to wait?0
