Not sure about the question above - my guess is only as good as "maybe!".
On applying for the account I am asked if I have a "Deal Code". This appears in the first window when you start the application.
Does a deal code unlock any other goodies? Is there any benefit in having one?
If anyone has a code that is in the public domain, could you post it?
Thanks,

The last time they did the incentive a few months ago (was it £1,000 in the account on the 30th June) I opened an account with them. As a lot of people found out, they were snowed under with applications and even though I posted my application to them well before the cut off point, my account was not opened until early July. I had verbal confirmation that I would still be able to get the points but nobody could tell me how long the money would need to be in the account for.
Anyway to cut a long story short I just never bothered and so it has not been used.
Do you think I could use this as an excuse to get them to allow me to use this new offer even though I'm not a new customer,(seeing as they messed up the first one and that is the single reason for me having an account in the first place)?
Many thanks,

If you could chase them up regarding the previous offer where they couldn't open your account in time that would probably be the easier option - after all if they said you could still get the points then why not!DebtMagnet wrote: »The last time they did the incentive a few months ago (was it £1,000 in the account on the 30th June) I opened an account with them. Unfortunately this offer is for new accounts opened.
However, closing a savings account and then opening a new one is often not much hassle...Former MSE team member0 -
I did everything correct to claim my 1000 points on the tesco instant savings .I did not get the points as promised.I've still not got the points and I've rang several times and sent them a letter.0

My partner & I both opened savings accounts for the June promotion. However we later discovered that the 1000 points are only awarded once to a household, not to each saver. This is in small print at the bottom of one of the pages.
The Deals booklets are available from the Tesco stores. In my local store they are in large stacks on the window ledges. The deals last several months before being updated. (We haven't tried booking any yet.)0 -
I opened my account in June and bagged the 1000 points, but now I need to clase the account. Can't find anything in their pamphlets etc about how to do this - do I just take out all the money or is it best to n otify them in writing. I definitely want to close it - I need the money for son at uni PLUS I may want the option of opening another account next time they offer 1000 pts. Grateful for any advice from old hands at this caper. ThanksWeight loss - here we go again - watch this space!
