According to the Met Police up to 90% of cash machine frauds are committed by Romanian gangs. Is there is a connection here?

But until they know which specific ATMs are targeted it's likely to be unreasonable to close down every machine in the north west.
Some would say shutting down even Santander cash machines even temporary is a good thing!SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

If they were just for argument's sake Romanians (other nationalities are scammers too) you would have thought they would have gone to a town/city with many banks and hit them all, knowing they were going to get some hits before the scam being discovered - unless there is some vulnerability in Santander's ATM which they don't want to disclose - inside information perhaps??0

Met Police... I met one once, rude idiot. Was just trying to report something suspicious but I became suspicious he was in fancy dress.
Should do a FOI request on how that conclusion was concluded to by the Met...probably better fantasy & fiction than Mills & Boon.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... I live in Lancashire it was on the local police Facebook site a few days ago. In the local town we have card machines at NatWest HSBC TSB Halifax as well as Santander plus Asda and Tesco and the petrol station all within a few hundred yards so it's not a big issue to avoid Santander machines, I can't remember ever using it to be honest.0

Bet Santander never put it up in sync with or before the police...SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
See, what annoys the hell out of me about this is that Santander is quoted as asking its customers to remain vigilant....errrr....well of course, but what about Santander (and all the other banks and bldg societies) remaining vigilant!!
Banks save money on staff and opening hours by encouraging us customers to use ATMs and then expect US to police them??
Come on!!:A Goddess :A0 -

Latest update says that Santander closed 5 ATMs remotely as soon as they were aware of a problem, contradicting the police's statement that they were unable to deactivate them. I'm more incline to believe Santander's version if only because of the difficulty of preventing remote shut down.0
