Oh is it a guessing game or multiple choice ?
Be handy for users to know which bankSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Thanks
Was not sure, either with internal or external SO. Bit of software coding needed at Halifax then... it offered me the next day (Sun) as SO start day, I expected it to leave given internal SO to HTB ISA, I transferred £200 in March as told by staff, which again a coding issue should not have allowed.
Also saying "there is a error you cannot transfer more than £200 a month" not this account requires SO deposits is another coding issue.
Halifax have assured me as the issue is their doing the 4% interest
will be credited, manually if needs be because they cant tell from software if the transfer in will count for interest.
Seems tech dept dealing with software coding really is letting Halifax down - and its normal and ongoing.
Still down £100 monthly transfer over Feb, March & April £200 in due to the issues. Which still to be addressed...by the tech dept, wont hold my breath - just make a further complaint if needs be.
When you say transfer do you mean Faster Payment?
Halifax H2B ISA can only be funded by Standing Order, could this explain your issue with your funding.
Set up a Standing order to your H2B ISA and it will work, as long as its for not more then £200.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. No transfer - from Reward to HTB ISA.
The SO nor transfer would not work, I was asked to keep trying both.
Then told to do so again after day 21, same result.
I made a boo boo one time trying...and £300 went in! ? Mistyped 3 not 2 on a transfer after several failed attempts and it accepted. I advised them, told should sort itself come April - no £200 transfers worked or SO set up.
Chrome, Opera IE, IE Metro, Edge...no go.
Asked to try Halifax app, went to Windows Phone store, downloaded to set up SO, worked!
The LBG tech team - a bunch of absolute idiot amateurs who let customers and staff down.
Still !!!!!! they cannot add the £100 I am short from Feb because their tech problems, I am not a long time HTB I only have till Feb 2017 as planned not a extra month when I hit £15,000. Apparently I should consider myself lucky the £300 Feb wont be reversed :rotfl: Customer services wanted to force close the HTB and reopen in the new tax year.
I am still down and not thankful. I think I will be sending a email to the CEO asking LBG to add the £100 themselves as I cannot legally do so aswell as ensuring I get 4% interest on Feb £1200 + interest total, March £1400 + interest total and April £1600 + interest total, ie in May I am in the position I always should have been.
I should not be out of pocket 1p on my HTB ISA next Feb because LBG tech cannot do their job to allow myself to stick to the Halifax T&C.
Customer services have their hands tied because a tech team (prob outsourced like most companies do to a third world country company ?) aint very tech savvy, proactive, responsive, nor reactive.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... This is unclear. As a standing order is a faster payment, the H2B ISA can be funded this way at any point in the period when the ISA accepts payments in. (Day 1 to 25 I believe).
If you hold a Halifax account then the system might recognise an internal transfer differently to a faster payment however if you set the H2B ISA up as a payee on the app you'll be able to get around this.0 -

As long as it shows as SO and not FPS, you will be okay.
Using online banking/Mobile App you will need to set up via the manage SO/DD tab rather then the transfer/payments tab.
This will make sure its sent as a SO and not a FPS.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Really? Must be on same bank transfers within the LBG then.0 -

I remember having read that, and I believed it at the time. I am not so sure now the Rep was correct. It wouldn't be the first time that a bank employee, in an official capacity, provides incorrect information.
My incoming SOs as Lloyds, BOS, Halifax and TSB from other banks all show with transaction type FPI - just like a one-off faster payment. Only SOs from within LBG, as well as outgoing ones show as SO. They may of course receive and hold data they don't show us.0 -
Can you not change the dates on some of your dd's so they aren't on a monday, or not all on the same monday? You might not get it 100% right, and have to keep re jigging it once in a while until you can save up some pay so you're not cutting it so fine each week, but might get round your current problem.MFW OP's 2017 #101 £829.32/£5000
