i would suggest that as you first put the car as a 206cc instead of the diesel as listed on the .gov website then you got a dodgy mot on it
its insured as a 206cc petrol
its mot as a standard peugot 206 diesel
ive forwarded all relevant details to the dvsa
i see one of the local guys in the morning he will advise dvla if i push him too
    have a nice night pal

And it's SORNed, too. So presumably the OP is not now using it on the road.

Also that long MOT fail list was done in February but the OP didn't ask questions until April.

You seem very easy to rile.

Like a few other recent new forum members.

Some garages do try to claim extra work by making up MOT failures. I took a 206 to a garage I hadn't used before a few years ago and it failed on a huge list of items along with a huge list of advisories. In all the years I had owned the car it had always either passed the MOT or failed on 1 or 2 things.

I decided it wasn't worth spending £££ getting it through so I sold it on cheap (scrap value) and bought another run a round. The guy who bought it MOT'd it the next day according to the MOT checker site.

That because the new buyer was either a Mechanic and fixed the problems.

Or the MOT was as bent as a bent thing.

I would suspect the second to be more likely.

Out of curiosity Input in the Reg to MOT checker.

And it came back as Sorn with an MOT expired in February.

But it also said it was a 2.0 petrol engine not a diesel.

Don't know much about the 206 as never owned one. Did the 206cc have a 2.0 petrol engine?

It was definitely a bent MOT. They didn't even notice a large cut in one of the tyres yet failed the car on about 12 other things, and I mean proper things, not bulbs or wiperblades that you check yourself.

Garage later relocated and changed it's name, then relocated again. Says it all really.

Sounds a lot like one of the ones I used to use when I lived near Sunderland.

Strange, the .gov Vehicle MOT History page shows it as a Diesel, whereas the Check Status page shows a petrol.

    Something dodgy somewhere.

    Good old DVLA ;)

I bought a new motorbike once, and when the V5 turned up

    fuel type = heavy oil
Colour = yellow (it looked black to me)
Engine number completely wrong. (should be part of frame number)

Yes I sent it back for correction
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))
