Hi my board is extra large so awkward to buy for. No ties either which is handy. When I found this one- I bought two and have been really pleased with it. Sometimes Wilkos sell this brand and often they`r reduced so worth a look there.2

Hey PF, I have finally worked my way through all 98 pages of your diary! Although I must say you are somewhat of a bad influence! I am sat here thinking of ways to change my house and what I need to sew for projects and the fact I probably need some fruit trees for my garden! 😁 absolutely love reading your diary.4

we bought the house specifically to do an extension on it. However, it didn’t quite go to plan but we’re thrilled with the outcome. We originally planned to do it the year we moved in but so glad we waited 5 years. The savings we had made it so much easier but we wouldn’t have had those savings in year 1.However much have what we have done in the rest of the house has been cheap/MSE. Lots of repurposed furniture that we’ve just moved to different rooms and they feel new!Set yourself a challenge as to what you can achieve without spending money and when work gets back up and running for you, you could always only get stuff when you have made sales/ done surveys etc to cover them.Fruit trees are an investment I think long term. Our raspberries have paid for themselves in 2 years. Think about what you like to eat and work backwards would be my advice.6 -
Agree with you on fruit trees being an investment. You can often buy them cheap early in the season bare rooted too and that's how most of mine started. I have eaten cherries from my tree this year. I have loads of apples and plums to come. I've picked three strawberries today from a plant that cost me £1. I have lots of veggies to come and salad to pick alread and potatoes about to be ready for harvest.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

One year they did a promotion on single sachets of sugar, for 3 free fruit trees with every 4 coupons (one sachet = one coupon) - you paid £1.99 postage or something, so of course we raided the sugar bowl at the cafe, and had them sent to every member of the family, gathered them all together, and so the in-laws ended up with enough to start a little orchard. They did apples, cherry, and plums I think.

Nice, love that idea of planting fruit trees. We don’t have many , small garden, but someone is benefitting from those we planted in our allotment maybe 6 years ago.. nice to think that3
