Glad you’re back to full strength. Take it easy, you’ve been so productive! Enjoy the weekend x3

Thanks brizzle we've had a lovely long weekend so far. Today was good, I made a wash bag for some hand crafted face wipes out of an old pillow case. Used some ribbon for the pull cord that came on some flowers I saved. No cost to me at all. I crocheted a few
more face wipes whilst I was there. May do a couple more tonight.Realised a few birthdays coming up so spent a bit of time online looking for inspiration. Still work to do on this.Went for another lovely walk today and stumbled on another new area nearby we’d not been to before. Will look at it on g00gle maps tonight to see if I can get my bearings with it.At a bit of a loss with how some people are treating lockdown this weekend, visiting people it seems and some pictures of VE street celebrations that didn’t seem very distant! Sorry if I sound like a killjoy but it just infuriates me that people think the rules don’t apply 😡🤬
off to search for some birthday inspiration....6 -

The handmade face wipes sound good, Purplefairy. I've been thinking about sewing some little towelling ones, as would like to have something that isn't single-use, but is a little bit more scrubby than muslin cloths. I like the balm type cleansers though which sort of melt to oil when used & I think home made scrubbies would need a pretty hot wash to get that (plus make-up) out. I was thinking I could make enough for one a day, then pop them in a muslin bag for chucking in the washing machine. When I tried removing my balm cleanser with an ordinary face flannel, it just wouldn't wash out.
I'll keep thinking.......

Thanks for the link, Purps. They look pretty & much more sustainable too. I have only basic crochet skills, but I could make those. It's just going to come down to whether that oily cleansing balm will come out of whatever I decide to make them out of in the wash.

Nice idea. I have some cotton yarn so think I will knot some squares, or maybe crotchet as not sure I can crotchet to that design? Great idea, thank you, as between me and my girls we use a few of these. We usually use muslin cloths but this will make a nice change.3

It's nice to do craft stuff - very rewarding. I am planning to have go at making face masks but have also ordered some online so will see how things go.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Brizzle mine don’t come out looking exactly like that but I only learnt to crochet during lockdown so my skills are basic but they do the job.So I’m back to trying to work through my lockdown list. DH has removed some cupboards to open up an area. There are a couple more to go, but it looks so much better already. I’ve sorted the stuff that was in there and it’s been split in to 3 - keep - charity - rubbish. Found a couple of useful things that we’re at the bottom of drawers such as soup bags for the freezer. Wouldn’t buy them now but will use them up as I have them.Going to get some plants from a local allotment co-operative in return for a donation. Will e mail the lady today.7

Plants have been delivered. Very impressed. Plus the lady e mailed me to thank me for
my generous donation. I wasn’t sure how much to give to be honest but I still got excellent value.Have watered some and bought them inside. A couple of big ones I have put out on the patio for now.The seedlings I planted on earlier this week are looking stronger. Have a few more to plant on but need to juggle some pots to put them in.Today was mainly spent on video calls for various reasons. So it’s felt like a very busy day all in all. Going to do a bit of knitting tonight now but don’t think it’ll be a late night!A week out from payday, so all money accounted for. Did pick up a survey this week though so am on the look out for more.6
