You are so out of order. (If you knew the answer why bother bringing it up at all?)
This forum is about parking tickets, not which is the best way to block unwanted texts on your mobile.
But if those texts come from a debt collector, then don't acknowledge them!0 -

For goodness sake man, do read the first post and you might understand. sad to say you kicked off about the blocker which was incorrect ... but hey, forget it, i really cannot be bothered. The OP must make up his own mind.
Your thoughts on text from debt collectors differ to mine and there it must be left0 -
This is not good advice,
(Apart from this poor advice from the rabble-rouser), throughout this forum the advice is to ignore debt collectors!
Don't reply to their texts (all that will do is confirm that you received them and encourage them to make more use of the number to try and contact you)
Installing an app that will block calls and texts from them is the most effective way of dealing with this!
Thank you for your advise, I am going to ignore their texts and I am going to install the app to block their calls and texts so hopefully they will stop bothering me.
I have got questions, I want to know how these people found out about the debt collector is a scam as you can safe ignore it and how do we know that they are fake?
Are they the same firm as LPS?0 -

We have not said they are 'fake'. We've said they are just a debt collector which you can ignore.
Google tells you that.
STEPCHANGE debt advice tells you that.
These firms are not bailiffs, they are toothless pen-pushers with template computerised letters. Are they the same firm as LPS?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No. They are a toothless debt collector company with a series of letters to bother you for a few months. That's all. The texts are annoying though, so certainly block them and treat this as harassment. Keep the letters and make a note of all those texts in case the contact gets more annoying - harassment is something you can sue THEM for, ultimately (see 'Ferguson v British Gas' - Google it).
Oh thank you very much for that, you guys are very clever and smart!
I get what you mean now as they are a toothless debt collector company who use a template letter on a computer to print it. Have the debt collector been paid to LPS as I have refused to pay them for that silly invoice?
If they carry on give me the harassment by keep sending me the letters and texts with threats, I will sue them. I want to know how long f I need to leave it to let them to keep harassment me before I could sue them?0 -
You can sue for harassment after three or more letters but don't threaten what you would not actually do. And you would likely lose.
Their defence would be they are pursuing a debt - so you could only sue if you had said until you were blue in the face, in several provable replies (like Mrs Ferguson did before suing British Gas) that the debt is denied/does not exist/you are not liable. Only if you had categorically shown they had no reason to contact you, could you then sue.
I would simply collect the letters if it were me, and get on with life.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok I won't send them the letters to threaten them to sue them, I will keep the letters and ignore them. If they carry on harassment me then I will sue them. How I can sue them by going through with who?
Here is what they keep sending me spam and harassment texts:
I was surprised and i was p*ssed off when I received these unsolicited texts from them. They don't have the permission to send me the texts as I don't know who they are and my number are private for my private use.
Do you know who are the debt collectors? are they the people like us?
How did they found my number from?

You need to block that rubbish, certainly. At the moment they are succeeding in bothering you but if you block them, they can text as much as they like and you won't be bothered by it.
Looks like harassment to me, that level of texting - BUT their defence would be they think they are pursuing a debt and they 'assume' you are liable because LPS told them you are. In fact you are the registered keeper and if you've never responded to LPS, they do not know who was driving which makes it a little more difficult for LPS if they try a small claim in the end. DO NOT tell anyone who was driving.
Which LPS is it, I think there are two - what's their full name? We can tell you if they do try court. For 5 x PCNs, a parking firm might try in the end (but UCS cannot).
You can defend it if LPS ever try; like any alleged debt, they have 6 years. Stop throwing away the letters, if you were binning them STOP. Keep the letters & texts in case you need to defend a claim in the end.
And stop collecting PCNs in that car park, change your parking behaviour or you mark yourself out as a person worth a punt in small claims, due to the amount. Even a non-litigious parking firm that rarely tries court might have a sniff at a claim if a person has multiple PCNs, because for just one small court fee, they could try to pursue hundreds of pounds by gruping the PCns into one claim. You can see why that's an attractive idea for LPS.
So, which LPS?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have you complained to 02. Once had to issue a claim against a carrier for spam texts. The carrier will claim it's nothing to do with them but they will lean very heavily on the sender to get them to stop.
It's £25 to issue a claim against 02 but may be worth it for your peace of mind. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If that is an iphone you have, the facility to block any number should be built it to the software, just follow this article:
