As tomorrow will be a NSD and payday is Wednesday I am declaring my savings for August.
Due to the effort put into selling stuff I am delighted that for this month my savings is £1894.05 bringing me to £11223.09 for the year to date:j
Taking into account previously held S&S isa and these additional savings I am now Mortgage Neutral
I am 80% to my target figure for the year on my FIRE spreadsheet tracker.
I am feeling so motivated right now and really appreciate the words of encouragement from you lovely lot, they really do spur me on.:A"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
That's great going on the savings total!
It's amazing how much you can get done when you're really in the right frame of mind isn't it."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Bit of a Black Dog day for me today, seem to come out of nowhere
It will pass.
I ended up having a full rant to my manager about a colleague who I feel constantly tries to get one over on me and thrust themselves into the limelight while I get on with the thankless but vital tasks in the background. Now I feel bad for venting.
On days like these I am so grateful that the end is in sight for me, just hope that I can last until Dec 2017 without cracking up."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
People like that are bloody pain in the unmentionables. It is your manager's job to listen to such conversations and you really shouldn't feel bad about venting. I have known you for a long time now and I KNOW you are bloody good at your job and very knowledgeable and a decent human being. I don't believe for a second you would vent without reason. You keep your eye on the prize and just think in a little over a year your whole life will have changed. And you will be free of !!!!! like them.
