It is thank you pebbles I am going g to call into work shortly (when tramadol has kicked in) and I have pulled my big girl pants up.
I got up at 9.15!! Unheard of, plus point I only had to pop my head round the front door to get a sunbathing tomcat in for breakfast.
It's 26 out there already so dogs out for a walk before anything else.
Pickles was stropping due to being too hot and my not making it a bit cooler she's her normal cuddly self now.0 -
Bless, wonderful pics as always. Good luck with your phone call to work.
Pebbles88, I should hang on to him. ;0)
I swear, tiggers think, because we humans can make it light when it is dark, warm when it is cold and open doors that we can control the weather, at least until they are old enough to realise the weather does what it wants. Charlie is flaked out in front of the big fan... you'd never think their ancestors lived in Africa, would you?
I remember, long ago this ginger tom we adopted because his human did not look after him at all, sitting in front of one of the other flat's front door, waiting for me to open it for him. I had to explain that I could open only our front door.
The big black one, our first proper, not time-shared tigger, taking me to the front door only to see it was raining, retreating and heading for the back door to see if the weather that side might be better! :rotfl: Bless, he was not the sharpest, that one.
Hope you feel better soon, Mellymoo. It is supposed to be cooler tomorrow, I think. Perhaps Princess Pickle will decide she has finally got the message through!0 -
The look she gave OH was brilliant smodlet
It perfectly conveyed her deep disgust at his inability to do as he was told and make it not rain but be a bit cooler.
She flounces lol
Tom cats loving it the silly huge black puddle of fur.
Not called
Been a wuss
A neighbour just popped over cos she's been told my heads gone by another neighbour who's been helping with the dogs. Caught me mopping (not very well only got one arm lol) done it for me, told me off, brought anothe fan over lol0 -
Hey, you have great neighbours, good for you. We have one brilliant and a couple of OK ones, and the ones from hell the other side of the party wall...0
-
Ones above are a nightmare smodlet
The others we have known for 8 years at least (been here 13) and they are good people0 -
Please don't quote as I will delete later.
Those who have followed any previous threads know I have horrid neighbours upstairs.
I have just found out that she brought a couple of kittens home last week
Told they look really little about 8 weeks
And here's the dilemma no ones been there for the last couple of days and it's been 33 degrees in our flat so will be hotter in theirs
I'm going to call RSPCA just need reassurance I'm not overreacting cos I despise them.0 -
No def not over reacting Melly, from what you have said of them, it doesn't surprise me at all!
Even without the heat, you can't leave them for a couple of days, litter trays, food & water etc! Plus if they are that little, they won't have much reserves to tide them over either! I bet they wouldn't cope if they got left for a couple of days in the same conditions!
I read a post on Fb that a couple found a staffy locked in a car on tues, when it was 33 degrees outside, the window was wound down a bit, but the dog was panting heavily.
Worried for the dog, they stopped at the car, 45 mins later the owners come along strolling with fish n chips and they started screaming at the couple "what the f*** are youse doing..."
So they'd took a trip to Whitby for fish n chips, then left the dog in the car.......:mad::mad::mad:
Words fail me!Please be nice to all moneysavers!
Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."
Big big thanks to Niddy, sorely missed from these boards..best cybersupport ever!!0 -
You are so not over-reacting, Mellymoo, do you want those poor little kitten's deaths on your conscience? They will die either of thirst, hunger or heat exhaustion, if they have not already done so and think how distressed they must be! I would call the RSPCA and the police. If I had the stones, I would break into their flat myself (I don't and I am not advocating any illegal activity)
Please let us know what happens. Those poor, little mites.0 -
I have called the rspca who will be outhe I the next day or so!!!!
She (upstairs) has come back so if they are there they will possibly be getting food and water.
I rehoused the last one a couple of years ago that kept falling put of the window0 -
Had I known about them earlier I would have broken in through the open window
These will go the same way as the last one who is lovely and is doing really well.
Sounding paranoid but
I am not flattered by the copying, not with living plants and certainly not with defenseless kittens0
