Broadband Help?

I am looking at getting with it and upgrading to Broadband but have a nagging query over download limits.
My query is do the download limits include everything? What I'm getting at is it mentions that this includes emails. Now is that just email addresses provided by the broadband provider or all email addresses like hotmail etc?
I spend about 30-40 hrs online a week and send quite a few email attachments during the football season as I am a programme editor and tend to send around 14-16 Word documents each programme for each home game.
I don't down load music but would be interested in watching video clips online.

If your at all worried about the download limits the best thing to do is get an unlimited connection. Usually though the limits are set at a high enough level to let you do all you need to, unless you download a lot of large files.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

If your concern is about the number of e-mails with attachments that you send, rather than receive, then it is an uploading issue.
You need to check if your ISP's cap/limit/fair use T & Cs include downloads and uploads, or just downloads.
They do vary from one account type to the next and one ISP to the next.

Go with Zen there are one of the few ISP that provide truley unlimited bandwidth. Some companies mention unlmited but they are not and have some bandwith restrictions and or caps.
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -

If you're in a telewest area, they also do decent value BB without caps/limitations. They do 512k for £14.99 (for 1 year - normally £17.99), 1mb for £19.99 (for 6months then £24.99 thereafter). You would get free cable modem.
You would be stuck to a 12month minimum term though but not sure if the above recommendations included a minimum term.

.....and with telewest you can ring them and say ur finding it hard to pay so you need to go slower......they will put you on a slower package but not actualy change your bandwidth. £12.99/month for 1.25mb0 -

Defintly go for Zen ive been on them after haveing a disasterious start to broadband with them muppets vispa.
They actually treat you like a human being not like a monkey and dont have a suck it and see attitude.0 -
Zen are good, I think they might still give you 8 free static IP addresses if you ask for them when you order (oops it's actually Nildram - the gamers choice because they host the jolt.co.uk servers).
Personally, I'm with Pipex who now own Nildram. I pay £23.44 (£19.95+VAT), for 1Mb, unlimited bandwidth except Newsgroups which is 10Gb/month but you can buy extra (They use a third [party for the Newsgroups). I've never had a problem with pipex.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
