    Morning All

Sitting here watching the news. It's interesting about how companies have made cut backs to pay the Living Wage.

Have a charity collection bag ready to go out to the kerb this morning which will reduce the items in my house by around 50.

CCL thinking of you and your son. Hope he is ok.

Spendy day yesterday and already spent this morning

Our Dys0n died a few weeks ago and we have been using DMIL's (she has three in a tiny flat!) but it does not have a hose/tools so cannot do the stairs which are now desperate. Managed to get a V@x reduced by £180 with very good reviews on Amazonian.

Cleaned the kitchen and kitchen floor yesterday and need a new mop so bought a steam mop. One of the cheapest had the best reviews so not much more than buying a new mop. We will also have 3 wooden floors and a conservatory to clean in the new house so it was on the list.

Hiccup with the sale of our house yesterday which is worrying and frustrating as unnecessary but out of our hands.

My appointment for today has been cancelled but will still have to drive down south this afternoon ready for my meeting tomorrow and Thursday. Popped into Mr S after dropping DS off at breakfast club and bought bread, bananas. eggs and turkey bacon and Star Wars DVD for DH.

Wednesday and Thursday should be covered by work expenses
    and NSDs:D

A friend asked me to go to an event in December last night so, in light of the putting yourself first part of the challenge, I accepted. I am terrible for not doing social things on my own to save money and also I like to spend time with DH and DS at the weekends but DH wouldn't think twice about going out (not that he goes out much either really!).

Healthy eating started today (again :o) with a protein shake for breakfast and eggs and turkey bacon for lunch planned. I managed 12000 steps yesterday just pottering around WFH:) I lose weight through exercise and a low carb diet so this is what I need to do between now and house move and try and not stress eat!!!

Bob well done on the payments and Kitty well done on the overtime.

Started to do a slow declutter yesterday as I don't have much time at night but want to start to do a little every day. Done two drawers in the desk and the bottom drawer of a big cupboard. Chucked a few things and took some to work to check if worth selling, otherwise the go in the bin too. Read a little bit about KonMarie and try to keep things "that spark joy" :rotfl:

Had three kids last night (friends daughter comes every Mo evening) and got more done that with the two of ours . Got the dishes done straight after their dinner, got the garden plants watered, the car washed and some other small things. Weird....But to keep the momentum going I wrote a small list for tonight. Started to repair a bit of wallpaper and a hole in the wall this morning in the hall where we got the new thermostat. Got the paint etc from the shed to paint the wooden strip behind the sink that gets a bit manky and touch up some kitchen cupboard doors. Got the seeds ready for some backup seeding. No telly till Friday, sleeves up and getting things done. :D

Apart from a small relapse on Sun I left my fingers alone and 8 out of ten look almost presentable again, yay. Also only had one rollie last night. Small steps but I'll get there.

Sun is out and it finally feels like spring. Long swim today and healthy lunch, and SFD.

Good decision. My husband and I are the same as you two. I rather not go by myself and try and save money whereas whenever he does go out doesn't think like that.

Yeah and some companies are making their workers do more to be worth the money. It's not about having been at a company for 10 years plus anymore, it's about who is willing to bust a gut. In some ways I can see why but at the same time it makes long timers at companies wonder why they bother.

NSD number 12 here which is good progress, hoping today will make 13. I don't need anything and wants can wait.
Got paid from second job today so I slammed £100 in the car account, very pleased with myself now as have a nice amount adding up so should be able to get myself a little run around in the next month or two.
Made some bean and tofu patties for lunches this morning, they freeze well and defrost quickly for salads or sandwiches, they are also very cheap to make and full of goodness, I haven't made my usual salad tubs up this week as I've not been well so I'm just finishing up bit in the fridge, the monthly shop is due on Monday so can re stock the cupboards and freezer.
I've done all my house jobs for today so I am crocheting until I go to work later.

They sound good, would you mind sharing a recipe. I'm looking for new ways to add protein to my diet that is not meat. Where do you buy your tofu? Our asia shop just seems to sell the silken one.

    Thanks

I made this one, it's made from chickpea flour, it's relatively easy to make, I must admit I haven't used the shop bought ones but you could sub it's the firm one which most supermarket sells.
I used 1 cup of mixed beans
    1 cup tofu
    3 cloves of roasted garlic,
    Cup of spinach,
1 whole roasted pepper from a jar
    2 tsps smoked Paprika
    1 tsp chilli
    Salt and pepper.
1 egg to bind ( I use flax egg as vegan)

All in a food processor until combined and still a bit chunky, shape into burger or ball shapes then bake on 180c for about 20 minutes
