I will join please-spent about £110 in March.
There was only me,but I am now doing some meals for Mum who is not very well.
Plus I have 'acquired ' a man,who I seem to be feeding regularly, and we drink a lot of tea together!! All good fun and very entertaining.
He does bring eggs ,from his chooks.
It will mean I can use lots of bits out of the freezer-good job as nothing else will fit in.
Same budget for April please-£110
Thank you

I would like to join you and give this a whirl if thats ok? My aim is going to be £400 a month to start with.
My current budget is £100 a week - the reality is that whilst I kid myself that I stick to this, I probably spend around £120 if you count extras like milk top ups and emergency wine/takeaways.
My budget needs to feed six full time. Thats three adults, two tweens and a child. It also needs to feed breakfast, lunch and snacks to an additional four children.
I'm in a good position to cut back - we have a lidl and aldi locally which we mostly use, plus a huge tesco/asda which we can use for the things that the others dont stock. We have a decent fruit market which sells very reasonable fruit and veg. I'm a half decent cook, and I have things like a good breadmaker, mixer, blender, huge fridge etc. On the downside our freezer is small, no room for a spare. My children are a pain in the rear. The teenager thinks that anything that doesnt travel straight from the freezer to the oven is poison. The tweens are generally great eaters - one genuinely dislikes pasta but they are otherwise good. My preschooler will eat almost all cold foods, lunchtime stuff, sandwiches, dirt from the garden, but very little in the way of hot meals are considered by him to be edible. Husband eats anything - years of my cooking has cowed him down to a state of meek acceptance (or perhaps resignation?!).
I'm looking forward to the challenge of actually sticking to the budget for the first time in a long time!0
