    Thank you Tink_04 :)

I buy value chopped tomatoes, kidney beans, pasta etc but not baked beans (Heinz for me), coffee or tea :D

NSD today, calling it now as I know I am not going out. Also had refund from grocery delivery as I sent some subs back, total adjusted accordingly.

Have a lovely day all x

  • Feeling a bit disheartened today. Our money is lower than I thought it would he, although we have been doing well.

I think it's also been a difficult month as it's our first one sticking to a budget, and we've also started at the beginning of the month and are trying to get to the 10th ...

I prefer Aldi baked beans, when I eat them.
Never tried them but I do shop in Aldi - will have to try them

Yes, I buy all them, unless i'm buying wholewheat pasta, but not the coffee/tea - wish I liked it. Funny how no one likes the beans - lol.

Oh heckers beckers, really lost my way.
Occasional shop but mostly eating out of freezer,I was writing every spend down but I now have a significant other(SO) to cook for and Mum who isn't well/coping. Using some of her stuff as well.
SO not lodging and very good for me-we eat late ,so I have lost weight! He brings eggs-good free range, really yummy.
I need packed lunch for myself for next few days ,was going to buy cake, but came home and have made lemon drizzle, flapjack and bread.
So sorted and cheaper,by a mile.
I reckon to have spent £70 so far and I will be away next week with DS, DIL and 2 little darlings(boys)-could cost an arm and a leg but not out of GC budget, heehee.
Big BUT now, having to have new tyre as I clipped a kerb and the tyre had a hernia-real oops and dear departed Dad would have said to have all tyres the same.Of course most b---d- expensive ones around.BUT always listen to your Dad!!!.
Will be back at month end to declare
    Good luck all
    mrss

I bet you have done better than you would normally do, if you were not on the challenge and you know where you went wrong - your still doing good though. I have a tendancy to press self destruct near the end - I still might.

Well done - how about just going out with £1

youre right. following your thought I went and checked, I have spent a monthly average of 65% of what I was spending before the new year.......when we were also trying to be careful but not keeping such an eye on it. i dont feel so bad but have learnt my lesson.
