Tricky couple of weeks the incoming ones: I'm seconded overseas, so I can claim back whatever I buy food/drink-wise (but from alcohol). Unfortunately my expenses are paid some weeks later, so I should probably keep on counting my meals towards the budget, at least for this month. What would you usually do?
Anyway, so far I'm under my budget with only £103 spend on groceries/take awayGC £~~/3000 -

I have spent all my budget for this month but the fridge is full. I spent more because I went shopping for bargains more and it all adds up. I need to avoid shops so am planning a home delivery of groceries so I am nowhere near a supermarket and I can keep track of the costs. Yesterday was a no spend day.must say NO to impulse buys!GC March Challenge £182/200

PANDORA sorry about the job dilemma, but well done on the meal planning! It's amazing how much food we actually have in, without realising it, until we start meal planning
I think I struggle with meal planning due to the sheer amount of food I have in the house. There's just so much to choose from that I don't know where to start. With having to use up certain things, I suppose it gave me something to focus on. The freezer really needs defrosting but it's absolutely jam packed so I'll try and focus on using up frozen foods nextCan't believe I've just switched from dreading meal planning to quite looking forward to it! I best hurry up and get it done before I switch back again!! :rotfl:

My daughter was ALDI today and she said they had 24 pack nappies @ 4 packs for £7.50 - they are really good (according to my sister in law) and their packs of wipes are 64 for about 49p and they are really thick. Hope thats helpful.
Thanks for this. We use Aldi nappies on my 18 month old and have never had a problem so will be using them again this time around.
I have not tried the wipes yet though, so I may buy a pack to see what they are like. I'm sure they have a baby event starting this Thursday, so it's worth me stocking up on the wipes then

Didn't go out today but still had a delivery so it was a spend day. £20.22 spent on delivery. Have a few gaps in my meal plan including next Tuesday, DS (age 4) is having a little op and I have no idea if he will want to eat or what to feed him in the evening, I'm thinking about just doing fishfingers, beans and chips as if he is hungry it is the one thing I know he will eat without complaint.Stay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

NSD yesterday. I need to pick up milk today, but I am very time limited so there should be no time for browsing!
Rearranged MF order to use more savings while getting free delivery. Unfortunately this has resulted in 2 deliveries (as you can only use one 'discount' at a time, and a larger overall spend, but a fuller freezer!Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Another one who will vouch for Aldi nappies and wipes - are fab and best value for money I find.
Solatic - hope the op goes well - an old favourite is always a winner with kids.
I'm plodding along this week - nearly the start of my new month so using up what I can - we go away 1st week of May so will get some shopping to take away with us out of May budget (caravan SC holiday with the kids)
I have been buying a few bits the last few months anyway so won't need loads anyway & the kids are young enough to not care that we don't eat out. I usually take some pizzas - pie & a pasta dish with a garlic bread along with sandwich stuff and treats, drinks and stuff for constant grazing kids.Living the simple life0
