No such luck. Hopefully will finish work in the next hour or so, which means I can be homeward bound. Hopefully some thinking time on (much shorter) commute. Weather better than earlier, which is positive. 0 -
Greetings from a very windy city
OH is still off and at home with the children. It was so windy this morning that I simply didn't want to risk taking the baby out in the buggy as side winds could be very dangerous. She's fine with Daddy and slept for 2 hours on his chest just to prove how easy it is to look after young children
Small things today.
1. Found 2p in the self service draw.
2. Cashed in a £2.50 nectar reward
3. Earned 80 more NP by scanning a coupon for bacon
4. Checked my banking
5. OH has stripped the remaining lamb from the bone. Excellent value that joint was.
6. Walked all journies saving at least £4.50 in bus fare
7. Checked an invoice. Payment is much later than I'd thought which frees up some cash flow for this month
8. Sorted out my purse to ensure all coupons are used before dates.
9. Coffee at home
10. Put one item in the clothing recycling bag for charity. I am back on my Minsgame again as the house has too many incoming lately.
Have a good one all.

I'm back. The weather is just about staying dry but it's a bit cold out. Just a wee list:
* Repainted the Hut/Shed with paint left from last year.
* Prepared another wee raised bed. Mixed in some of our homemade compost.
* Started to re-paint the rear fence. Lost the will to paint. Retired to the sofa with tea, biscuit, blanket, pillow and secondhand Deaver novel.
* Finished off the weeding of the shrubby border.
* OH started to make plans for planting.
* Spot cleaned a couple of garments instead of washing them fully.
So, free exercise and free garden upgrade. :T Now have a case of can't-be-smurfed-itis.

Hi guys
Nice to see everyone
Not long back from the in laws - had a night in so all good.
Took our niece some little chocs, Easter colouring sheets and a hairband - under £3. SIL and MIL got daffodils for 90p each. Used wrapping paper and gift bag from stash.
Took a HM cake and a bottle of vino from @ldi. Quite a money-saving little trip.
Storm Katie has meant that OH's work was cancelled today so he's £40 down.
We've got dinner in for tonight so nothing to worry about on that front. Lunch was left overs from a big lasagne I made the other night.
I'm going to go tidy round for a bit and then snuggle down on the sofa later.
Got a cold so a lazy day is in order.
Oh, MIL gave me some yarn she doesn't like - result!
Happy Bank Holiday everyone :beer:0 -

Afternoon all,
Yorkshire congrats on your anniversary this year. Yes you will have to do something to mark the occasion - even if it is just getting OH to cook you a slap-up meal
Its turning out to be a NSD as I haven't done the food shop. I might go after work tomorrow but we have food in as our surrogate granddad (who looked after the house/ chameleon when we were away) left us a red cross food parcel
I picked up the dress and am pleased to report it fits and I like it! So pleased I have finally found one and don't have to worry anymore. It was from John Lewis and under £400 so I've adjusted the wedding budget accordingly. I still think it is an obscene amount of money to spend on something I'll only wear for about 12 hours but hopefully I'll be able to sell it after the big day. Did I mention OH has his whole outfit sorted already? How come it is so much easier for men?!
Banking to check and consolidate with the spending diary
I need to book the AA to come out and have a look at my car which has temporarily died. I think it needs a new battery. I have home start so will see if they can come out this week
FPL and surveys to check
Paperwork to sort and file
Hoover to push around. I was very good and cleaned the bathroom when we got back yesterday
Third load of washing is in the machine
Remember to take parcels from ASOS to send back tomorrow (unsuitable wedding dresses) and paying in book to pay some cash into the bank
Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow after having a week and a bit off! But I'm on the final stretch with the extra hours and at least I leave work in daylight now!
Have a lovely rest of the bank holiday everyone

I had a snooze and then woke up thinking I still had a few things to do:
* Parcel up Barbecue/Smoker for posting as it's sold on eBay. Use Parcel2go (Link) to compare courier prices.
* Ditto OH's old camera tripod which the buyer has yet to pay for.
* There is an error in my finances somewhere. I need to either get to the bottom of it, or write it off. Most baffling.
* Look at my OH's I Want To Buy List. These frequently appear and we usually end up putting them in the bin.
Then we need to plan the rest of this week. I'm briefly going into hospital and we both have an adjusted work schedule.

OH and I have been debating about whether we could leave the boys home alone and have a night away on our own ... this led to me happily pricing up expensive breaks that we definitely cant afford. You can dream though cant you?
Been out on our bikes for an hour which blew away the cobwebs, in fact I thought it was going to blow me off the bike at one point. DS1 out with friends, DS2 at work so we have stuffed ourselves with scampi and chips and collapsed on the sofa.
Oh and I have done OHs month end bills and they look much healthier than I expected so that's comforting. Going to be a busy week so I am going to try and make the most of what's left of the weekend.0
