Morning all
The weather has turned here as well - I'm pleased that we made the most of the nice day yesterday. I feel a bit fuzzy headed this morning and I don't much fancy going out. DS seems to be coming down with tonsillitis but is desperate not to miss football training today.
MTC I am so sorry for your current situation. I wish that I had some practical advice - I hate bullies...
Yesterday was nice - we went out for a walk in the afternoon and then ds slept for 3 hours afterwards (proving that he is ill)crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Morning all :hello: thanks for the useful info on fuschia and the link Ally. I think i have all the dead wood out, they just look a bit rubbish (more noticeable now I have cleared all the other stuff away too:rotfl:) just wanted to check I wasn't missing something as they are so beautiful when in bloom. Today will mainly look like:
Pop to market for some fruit, other stall I was after wasn't there today
Popped to warehouse and got some meat for tomorrow and a couple of other bits, must update food spreadsheet, will last long beyond this week but will save me going back
Day in being productive in the house, some diy later
Bump posts on FB, check on fleabay listings, try and list a couple more
Meals from stores, no temptation to go out and 'treat' ourselves
Quality time with DH tonight
Make crumble - didn't do this yesterday
Think that's about all, check back later. Stay dry everyone

The List continued:
* Cleaned bathroom with Stardrops and washable cloths.
* Put big box for new barbeque in the loft. Got down another big box as OH is going to sell her meat smoker. She doesn't use it. When we sell things we never need to buy packaging as we always keep the original boxes.
* Backup precious photos to guard against loss.
* Put shower curtain through washing machine. I used to just throw them away when they got dirty and buy new ones. Not any more!
* Deep clean toothbrush heads with I-can't-believe-it's-not-Steradent to get a bit more use out of them.
* Let meat defrost naturally in the fridge for dinner tomorrow. Also defrost sausages naturally for tonight's toad-in-the-hole.
* Cleaned sitting room with Stardrops and washable cloths.
* Ironed a few bits turning the iron off for the last items.
* Hoovered just the sitting room, swept the rest.
* Re-advertised something on Freecycle. Collectee didnt bother to collect.
* Listed OH's smoker on eBay. Hoping to get what we bought it for. Only used once.
* Listed OH's spare Tripod on eBay.
* Listed 8 window panes on Gumtree. OH bought them from a neighbour last year for £5. She was going to build a greenhouse with them but I think that sounds too dangerous and we could actually buy a greenhouse more cheaply than the cost of the other building materials we'd need to buy so we're trying to get £20 for them locally.

Hi all
Yet more laundry done here, despite the forecast I have got 2 loads dried outside today.
Both freezers defrosted - which feels like such an achievement. Its pleasing that there is nothing in there that will go to waste.
Ally I know what you mean about "that list". I am working my way through a box of random bits of paper and have shredded a bin bag full already today. I am a bit emotional about anything to do with DS1s early childhood, before he became ill. Have already had a few tears but I am resisting the urge to stuff it all back in the box.
Have just told DS2 that he should make the most of being a teenager and told him that one day he will spend his bank holiday weekends catching up with chores. He lifted his head off the sofa to tell me that he will earn enough money to pay someone else to do his chores and asked me if I was putting the kettle on. Cheeky beggar.0 -

Deep breaths!
I took photos of some things I didn't really want to part with but that needed to go.
I'm doing ok with the list today. I seem to be on a roll. I absolutely hate listing things on eBay but it needs doing.

:easter_os Dropped dh & kids at swimming, whilst I went to pick up a Norton security thing from curry's for dh, much cheaper then the auto renewal price and dh was able to get a discounted gift card via work to save a further 7% (DH won't change from Norton - and its not worth an argument so I didn't bother
:A
LOL. I personally wouldn't touch Norton with a barge pole. It is frequently less up to date with it's definitions of new viruses than it's free competitors, it takes up heaps of space on the PC and is well-renowned for letting some types of viruses slip through unnoticed. I could go on for hours about how inefficient they have become since Peter Norton sold the product on...Free software like AVG and Avast! consistently out perform-Norton in consumer tests.
Just saying.
In cyber-space I prattle away for hours. In the real world I'm not like this at all. Honestly. When I first started working for my current employer I barely said a word to anyone. (It's not shyness, I feel compelled to choose who I talk to carefully.) Some folk didn't know I was from out of the country for weeks because they never heard me speak!

Ally lol, I know, I know, That's why I posted my little disclaimer about no point arguing with him on it, every year I we have a similar conversation.
I started to type a message to you about it this morning but he saw what I was typing and said he was staying with Norton again!
Hehehe. We all have our foibles, I guess.

Morning all :hello: happy Easter :easter_os
Hope everyone has a lovely day, today will mainly be about spending time with family but there will be a few DFW thing on the way:
Cook large joint bought at wholesaler, will use less than half, rest will be portioned for freezer
If any veggies left over, do the same
Packaged up 2 things to go back to n3xt, possibly a 3rd, depending on what husband decides
Package up 2 items that sold last night on fleabay. Move money from pp to bank and pad it all
Maybe list a couple more
Quick tidy round
FIL coming to do some electrics today too :T
Go for a run, haven't been for far too long, must do this for lots of reasons.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Good morning everyone - and Happy Easter :easter_os
:EasterBun
Looking forward to a sneaky choc or two later on - I doubt I'll get any eggs from anyone (never do) but I have a couple of crème eggs stashed away in my school bag in case of emergency.
Rough night, coupled with the lost hour of sleep and general hormone stuff has left me feeling a bit rubbish this morning. Nothing too serious, just a bit down on myself. I don't like feeling like this, but can't help it and trying to ride through it.
DS is also still poorly - not bedridden but definitely under the weather so I need to make sure I have plenty of paracetamol on hand to get him through the day.
Plans for today
:easter: PAD to money box
:easter: tutoring (never stops thankfully)
:easter: family outing to my mam's later for a big feed
:easter: try and relax
:easter: minimal housework
:easter: nsd
:easter: no heating unless desperate
:easter: start prepping monthly shop and pet food order ready for payday!
:easter: At least one thing from annoying jobs list
:easter: Do not give myself a hard time
Have a good day everyone
