Well I did it!!!:j:j:j:j
I managed to beat my goal of 2 hours 30 mins, and I finished the half marathon in 2 hours 25 minutes (and 14 seconds but who's counting those :rotfl:) So so chuffed to have finished it and in that time. I did struggle with my knee which held me back, but I pushed through. Bf also beat his previous time by a whole minute (did it in 1 hour 45 mins, beast!!) On a high right now(although don't ask me if I'll do it again yet as the pain is still too raw lol!)
I spent £11.86 on our uber home (bf paid for it there). There won't be any other spends today.
The plan for the rest of the evening is to have a nice loooooong bath, make my bed, have some wine, and just chill. I'm so glad today is out the way, it's been looming for a long time, and now I feel like I can get back to normal life!0 -
I've been quiet, I'm still recovering from Sunday but I'm almost 100% better now. Not managed any yoga yet but I've enjoyed the rest lol.
Monday I bought my pictures from the day - cost £40 to get a HD copy of all of them. Not all of them are good but as it's my first race I thought it was a nice keep sake. And some of them are really goodI got my eyebrows done on Monday, my mum paid for mine this month so I put that towards my pics.
I also spent £8 in the coop on Monday for some lunch and snacks. And I was also naughty and bought a new glasses case from an FB group for £15. I do need a new one but it was a bit of a mad moment....
Tuesday was NSD11 and Wednesday NSD12. Today won't be an NSD as I have to buy dinner for bf and I.
I'm down to the wire with funds again this month, I've gone wrong somewhere...will have to be careful. But, if I have to go into my OD it's not a massive deal. Just need to keep trying.0 -
I've not posted in a few days, oops! I won't detail my spending for now as I'm at work, but I am up to 15 NSD's. BUT I have overspent (as mentioned in one of my previous posts!) and I've now got too much month for my money. I will need to be as good as possible until payday Friday. That's not going to be that easy, though, as we are cat-sitting again so will be staying at bf's sister's house, which means I will have to buy food for us to last from tomorrow evening until Monday morning. I can't begrudge it too much though because we enjoy living together when we stay round there, plus it's a 5 minute walk to work for me
I am going out on Friday with my work colleagues, so will need to set a limit for myself.....I think I need to detail out my spends for this month again, as I didn't do it for this month and I've noticed the difference. I go through cycles of thinking I've been good, so I can spend, then all my money comes out my account, and I realise it wasn't there to be spent....I will go into my OD this month which is disappointing
BF is very close to hitting his target for the house deposit due to a recent bonus from work. I am still sad that I am dragging us down. But we've decided to look at where are after our holiday in June, and if we're not compeletely ready by then, we should be able to look again at our options and what's currently on the market. As our area is on the new Elizabeth line house prices have soared, and still seem to be, so we won't be getting much for our money unfortunately. Nevermind, that's a thought for another day!
Work has been horrific - was covering a colleague on holiday last week, and then yesterday and even today I've had to field a lot of complaints. I actually hate customer service now, I've done it for the past 4-ish years, and I'm just sick of it. I like it when I can do my other tasks at work, but the customers of course have to take priority so I don't always get to my other stuff. Sorry in a moaning mood today lol!0 -
It's payday!
My house deposit currently sits at £9679.71/£15,000 = 64.53%. Saving that for prosperity lol. I hope at the end of April I can be at £10,000.
I've moved all my money around as usual, I have just over £300 to last the month. I went a bit spend happy towards the end of the month (as mentioned in previous posts), so this month I want to give myself a complete "no buying" ban. This includes clothes, make up, toiletries, books, and other random items I might convince myself I might need. If I want it/think I need it, I can write it down and come back to it at the end of the month. I feel like I'm bringing in more stuff again, and it's starting to overwhelm me. Must remember on a daily basis that I'm trying to REDUCE my belonging count, not increase.
I am working through my makeup and toiletries at the moment, as I am trying to get them down to such an extent that when I do finally move, I'm not carting around boxes of purely cosmetic stuff. I am successfully using certain things up, and have been fairly good with not bringing in too many unnecessary items, so just need to keep going.
I will need to start doing some proper shopping for holiday soon, but I'm hoping I can do that next month instead (May).
Work has been hectic again due to members of the team being out. Looking forward to some drinks with the bf tonight to unwind! Still cat-sitting, they removed their wifi so we're stuck with normal tv  It's so weird not having access to wifi in this day and age. It's not *too* bad though as it's encouraging me to read more, as I've definitely been having some bad reading months this year.

Right so I've worked out I spent just over £410 this month, which seems to be more or less similar every month...BUT I only leave myself £300 per month for these spends  so there's a shortfall there that I need to address. But I don't know if it's really realistic that I cut down by £100 a month...hmm. Will need to have a thnk.0

Thanks Ena! I'm considering doing one next year now :rotfl:
It looks good, but it's a drop in the ocean around here sadlyhouse prices are so ridiculous. But, needs must, and I will keep pushing
My bf will be at his goal either the end of this month or next, and will keep going, so we will get there sooner than later.
I'm 3 days into my no buying ban, and it's going.....ok lol. I did cave and bought a kindle book on Saturday as it had gone down to 99p, but I started reading it and realised actually it wasn't for me. So I returned it :rotfl:It's more the end of the month that gets me, I think I've done so well I can treat myself....will try and keep strong.0 -
So the first 2 days of April were NSD's, hoping for one today. Took all my stuff out of the house I was staying in today as they are back this lunchtime. I did enjoy cat sitting but he decided to sit on my chest in bed this morning and went near my face. With my cats that wouldn't be a worry, but this cat is a biter, and I was worried he was gonna go for my nose!!!! I'm too vain for a bite mark on my nose lol. He's fine though, he's not very socialised but I think he'd get there with the right people.
Not sure if I logged it, but I did sell a top on eb@y last week. Annoyingly I wasn't home, but the guy wanted it sent out next day....got my mum to do it for me, and now the guy hasn't left any feedback. Rude! My mum listed a bag and purse for me that I've beeen meaning to sell for ages....I wanted £50, but someone countered almost straight away with £40. I didn't think it would have any interest at all so I snapped up the offer. People are stingy as that was a steal, but I got it for free so it's no real loss to me. My mum will send that off for me, as I gave her extra money over the weekend for stuff I owed her, I don't have to hand over any extra for the postage, so the full £40 will go into my deposit fund  will move that over once I know the buyer has received it.
It's back to the grind this week, and I need to get back into exercising as I've been lax the past 2 weeks. Everything's back to normal with where I'm staying etc so it will be easier to do. Looking forward to the Easter holseven though BH cause problems with my work due to deliveries moving, it's so nice to get those extra days.
Happy Monday!0 -
Monday was NSD3, sadly yesterday wasn't one as I went to the coop to get lunch for work, and some ham to make sandwiches the rest of the week. Then my mum made me lunch for today anyway, so I'm drowning in lunch food :rotfl: Spent £4.50 yesterday.
A perfume I bought on eb@y was meant to be in argos Monday to collect, but I've had no notification it's arrived. I've messaged the seller to see if she can track it, but I've got a feeling I won't get it for some reason. I got a dispatched email, but things do happen......we'll see. I was all excited to pick it up on Monday as it's a dupe of a very expensive perfume, but now the shine's gone off it lol. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it doesn't arrive and I get a refund though.
Today should be a NSD. Thinking about going for a run tonight, I was going to give myself a month off but I find myself missing it! It's hot in the evenings now though so will be v sweaty :eek:0 -
How about saving £20 or whatever when you get paid purely for frittering on treats but you can only spend it in the week before the next payday?
I know some people give themselves a personal allowance to spend on what they like so if you do that, take some out just for the above? Like a little reward for getting through the monthDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500
