Oh also it looks like the company I was doing my online course with have gone under (work paid for it)....went to finish it and it doesn't work and I can't get through to anyone. No one picks up emails, the phone line's dead and it has bad updates on Companies House. My manager reckons I should go to the CAB about it, but not sure what they can do. Does anyone reading have any advise? I was most of the way through it and it's frustrating that I can't finish it now!!
  • Woohoo managed to get a big survey on SB (137 points) so have claimed a £5 @mazon vouchre and have 120 points leftover for the next one :D

I did my 3 mile run yesterday, was ok.

I'd bought a phone case off ebay but I don't think they even sent it out - opened a case and got my refund yesterday. Annoying because I did actually want a phone case but will have to try elsewhere.

Today should be a NSD. Tomorrow will be a different story though as I'm on my last half tin of beans for work!

Can't believe it's only Thursday, felt like the wrong day all week...
  • Well it looks like the course company has completely gone under, this morning all their URL's are no longer valid :( Currently complaining to Reed who my company bought it from to see if there's anything they can do.

I'm thinking about whether I just want to pay for the course I originally wanted to do but my Manager said was too expensive...it's £1500, but it's recognised globally and covers everything I want. Need to think about it. My work won't cover that amount so I'd have to do it personally :(
  • Well yesterday wasn't a NSD :o The bf wanted to go to see the new lego film, so we went to the pub for food before (he paid), and I paid for the tickets (£8.50) and snacks (£9.00). There's a cheaper cinema near us which works out so much better than the local Vu3.

I bought a book off @mazon for £5.68 today (one I've wanted for ages) and I also have to go to the coop for lunch as I have nothing in the office. Will try to do a 6 mile run tonight, but I might be too tired :o will see how I feel later.

    Happy Friday!
  • Eek so I've done something very scary - I've got a credit card  it's with virgin and is 0% on purchases for 29 months. Limit is £2200 which is about the same as my OD. I think it will be good for building my credit rating, and if I do decide to go for this course I can put it on there. I used the MSE credit check and it looked the best option for me.

This is a big step for me, I had a CC before from my current bank but I never used it so cancelled it.
  • Spent £3.25 in coop for lunch.

Spoke to my friend about the course I'm looking at, she's going to ask some of her friends in that industry if it's worth it, so glad to have her around!
  • So 6 miler done, 9:40 mins average per mile so happy with that!

I've finally caved and bought the gel polishes I've been after for about 6 weeks. I'm really into gel polish now so want to start building my collection. It was buy 5 get 1 free, and I'veone of those is for my mum so I can do her toes. So that's £41 spent, don't think I'll put this in my spending diary as I'm pretty sure I'll be moving money over from my beauty fund to cover this as it was a planned spend.

I've also reattempted to buy a phone cover after mine never turned up from ebay and I got refunded - also not counted this as a spend as it's less than the original one and I had already counted the money for the other one as out. Makes sense to me lol! :rotfl: Bit of a spendy day but everything I've been thinking about for ages so just bit the bullet.

Got to be up fairly early as I've got my last facial of my sessions....not sure if I'll go for any more, think I'll see how my skin is a month or so after this one before I decide whether another course is needed.
  • Oh where has the weekend gone? :(

I got up early yesterday and had my facial - skin didn't react as strongly as last time which is a good thing. I have booked an appointment for a couple of weeks as there's stuff we can do to target the scaring as the active spots seem a lot more under control - one on my cheek every 3-4 weeks is much better than 4/5 months ago.

I got home with plans to exercise and clean etc - ended up having a 3 hour nap! I must've needed it though because I woke up feeling a lot better. I have been feeling worn down lately.

Then I went to the SM for dinner for my bf and work lunch for next week - £16.24 spent (it also included a cheeky bottle of wine :o) I had to wait around for the bf as he'd been working on Saturday and was there a lot longer than expected. Annoyingly the works on crossrail mean the tfl line near us is down most of the time on the weekends, so he had to use a different line. It got to 8 o'clock and rather than wait around I went to pick him up from the station. I swung by mcd and got a hot choc as I needed the toilet :o £1.49 for the drink. Once we got back to bf's house I made spag bol, and we watched Orange is the new black with some minstrels.

Had a lay in this morning, bf made some food then I went back to mine. Apparently my cat was v sad without me last night, so as soon as I got home he wanted to snuggle under my arm. Ofc I couldn't move him as he was looking so cute, so didn't make much progress on my tasks today. I've managed to clean my bathroom, tidy a tiny bit, and just did a short but powerful yoga session. I had scheduled to do 10 miles today, but I went so hard on Friday that I knew I needed to rest instead. Will do a long run tomorrow, short one on Wednesday, then do 10 miles on Saturday. I'm not panicking anymore as I've done 9 miles I know I can push through.

Today has been NSD6. Not racked them up half as well this month as I did in Jan, but that's the way it goes I suppose.

So that's me up to date. I need to wash my hair, apply some fake tan, and I will settle down with some wine and tv tonight. If I feel creative I may do some writing later, see how I feel :o

Hope everyone's had a good weekend!
  • Cashbackearners actually sent over my £20 - I'm now -35cashcoins as I had a mishap with purchasing those bingo tickets, but the money is now in my paypal :D just trying to decide whether to stick it into my house fund or put it into my main account!

Reed came back to me today and gave my company a full refund for the course I couldn't finish. Turns out they couldn't contact that company either, and a lot of people had had issues with them. My colleague advised I ask for the more expensive course now....if they let me do it I'd be able to take over work that they currently pay someone else for....it could save them money in the long run, but it looks like a big outlay. Guess I won't know if I don't ask!
  • Yesterday was NSD7, and today will be NSD8. I think my gels have arrived today so I can redo my nails tonight, exciting :D

I feel like I've become a proper adult today - I enrolled in my work pension plan  they're starting this year as it's compulory now, and it's only going to cost me just under £17 a month, so I think that's a good deal. Feels good to plan for my future finally!

I've not asked about my big course yet, I've broached the subject of finding a replacement course with my manager, so will go from there...
