  • Yesterday was a NSD, today should be too :D

I managed 7.5 miles yesterday - was freezing cold and I needed the toilet the whole way round, not sure why my overactive bladder is so bad atm! After 4 or so miles my feet were really painful in the instep, think it's time for new shoes :( I need glasses as a priority in Feb, but I spoke to bf and he said he could lend me the money for the trainers if I need it. I think I will, it's coming up to crucial time for the half marathon now, need to ensure my runs are as good as they can be, and new shoes need to be worn in. He keeps telling me he's going to add 10% interest a day on it, think I need to negotiate with the Bank of BF :D hahaha

Can't wait for payday!!! My mum kept sending me pictures of clothes from town yesterday - I kept saying yes yes lovely but I'm broke please stop!! :rotfl:
  • So after consideration I think I'll borrow the money off bf, and I will be buying my glasses and trainers next month (pay my bf back from Feb's pay packet).

I want to start paying a little bit into my savings every day, I did that a little bit this month then things got tight :o but I am going to plan my money out for the whole month of Feb, as I've got some dinners planned so I need to make sure I can afford it all. I pretty much know what I'm doing socially, as long as I've got some wriggle room. Will try to do that sometime this weekend :D
  • Ooooooooooooook so I've written a rough outline of spends for next month, it doesn't seem much and I'm sure I'll move away from it in some places but I can add to it as and when I need to.

    So:
    Week 1 - Weds 1st - Tue 7th
    petrol - £10
    SM- £20
    night out sat- £50
    Misc £10
    Week 2 - Weds 8th - Tue 14th
    SM - £20
    Petrol - £10
    chimichangas (valentine's day) - £30
    Misc £10
    Week 3 - Weds 15th - Tue 21st
    Petrol- £10
    SM- £20
    Misc £10
    Week 4 - Weds 22nd - Tue 28th
    Petrol - £10
    SM - £20
    Misc £10

It looks really repetitive because my life is lol....I've only got the two eating out/social things planned, otherwise it looks to be a quiet month. Can I do it?

Ok so today was not an NSD....
The bf invited my into town for lunch, so I spent £3 on bus fare (thought it was better than parking in town). I bought an eyebrow powder from collection using my boots points as mine is almost out, and I also bought a black rollneck from New Look for £7.99 as I had to throw my other one out as it was all bobbly and horrible. Bf bought lunch and I paid for 2 hot chocs in mcd. (£2.98)
We spent a while in two glasses shops, found a pair I really like for £59 for the frames, not sure how much the lenses will be but looks to be £100+. Will go in there during the week with my mum as she knows more about glasses than the bf so will be better moral support.
Had a lovely day, but was out longer than I meant to! Also spent more than I meant to but in all I was restrained. Was actually sunny earlier but now it's grey and rainy :(

Got a yankee candle on the go now, will do some yoga and need to get a few bits done before I can chill tonight (with some vino :D)

    So to do:
    [STRIKE]-yoga[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-hoover[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-wash makeup brushes
    -clean bathroom[/STRIKE]

    Tomorrow I need to:
[STRIKE]-run 4.5 miles[/STRIKE] did 4 miles instead but managed a 9 minute mile and great splits!
    [STRIKE]-yoga[/STRIKE]
    -[STRIKE]do gel on nails[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-fake tan[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- finish book[/STRIKE]
-if I've got time, clean out my car, hoover inside, and clean the outside!
then it's over to the bf's for dinner (he's going to the SM this time!) won't do this as it's been raining all day!

    Hope everyone's having a good weekend :)
  • So I managed to get most of my tasks done on the weekend, apart from the long overdue car stuff, but as it rained most of the weekend didn't seem much point. Will aim to do it next weekend (yeah cause that will happen :rotfl:)

Had a great run yesterday, and went to the bf's for a roast. Had a lovely weekend actually :)

Was a NSD yesterday, aiming for one today and tomorrow although I have hardly any snacks at work and I get hungry quick  will try my best. If I manage it I will have had 16 NSD's this month! Would be impressive if I wasn't in my overdraft lol!

Waiting for a few payments to go out now so I can work out just how much in my OD I am at the end of Jan. I requested my payout from PA but it took aaaaages, finally came through today so I moved over £14.35 from my paypal into my current account. Every penny counts!

It's paydayyyyyyy!!! Been such a long wait!

I had just over £1300, less than usual due to sickness days and £90 OD (boo).

So moved all my money over:
    phone - 17
    keep 220
    holiday 250
    health fund 10
    car insurance fund 50
    car fund 40
    xmas/bday presents fund 50
    beauty fund 100
    deposit fund 150

and have £416 for general expenses, and hopefully to also get some new glasses.

If today stays an NSD, I will have had 16 in January. So, I am going to set that as my target for Feb (doable as a short month? I think so!)

I'd wiped out most of my savings accounts at the end of December to pay for my car insurance that I'd forgotten was due, so they're all looking a bit healthier with more than a £1 in now :o I've got a car insurance fund again to prevent that happening next year!

I'm also aiming to PAD into my savings as much as I can. I could only put £150 into my savings today as I don't want to leave myself short and end up in the OD again.....so PAD it is. Also want to see if there's anything I can ebay this month, fallen off the wagon as it was hassle but it's so worth it when those extra pennies go into the fund!!!! Need to get a shift on with the saving.

    :D
  • I worked out that I spent an average of £11.48 per day last month (Jan)...not terrible, but I really want to bring that average to £10 in February, and going forward.
  • Well now I'm said - was planning on entering the ballot for the Royal Parks Half Marathon that takes place in Oct, ballot's now open and the tickets are £55!!!! It's such a shame, I was gonna go for the Hackney Half as well but that got taken over by Virgin and is now £48 - these prices are ridiculous, almost the same as the actual London marathon. I've noticed since my bf's been taking part in these races that they've gone up such a lot, I understand there are costs involved but surely they are taking the p***??? Also means I won't be taking part which is a real shame :(

I was meant to go for a 5 mile run today, but I have felt super weird all day, tightness of chest, shortness of breath, almost felt like I'd got a panic attack coming on all day. I just felt really really strange and off.

I spoke to my bf and we decided it probably wasn't the best thing to go for a run (it's now tipping down anyway), instead I did some gentle yoga and some meditation. Feel a little bit better now.

I think I've been so panicking about being broke this month that when I got paid this morning it all kind of hit me. I'm being silly, I'm not in debt, the thing I'm panicking about is saving. I really need to give myself a break and stop being so hard on myself! Also feel guilty for not running but that's just something else that I beat myself up for. I don't think I would've felt good if I'd gone today.

With that in mind, I think I'm going to have a look through my amazon wishlist and choose 2 books that I can download. There's loads that I've been desperate to get at for ages but have put off because they've not come down in price. I'm going to treat myself to one and say "sod it", because life is too short to feel like this!!!

My nephew is coming over tonight so I'm hoping some snuggles and giggles with him will help me feel a bit better :)
  • Well I still feel like rubbish, add to my other symptoms a massive headache :( Sitting at work and feeling like I'm in my own bubble, don't feel good at all :(

I am meant to be going to my bf's tonight which would mean going to the SM beforehand, but I really don't know if I'm up to it, need to see how I feel. If I don't go I will need to go to the SM before work tomorrow as I need bread and some snacks...hmm...either way I will need to spend some money soon!

I will count yesterday as my 16th NSD of January, even though I bought two kindle books. One I think I'm going to return anyway, and the other I'm not going to count as I felt so low yesterday I needed a treat! My NSD's my rules :D

Going to do a small PAD in a minute, want to boost my savings by at least £30 over the course of the month.
