Today has thus far been a NSD, but I almost made a purchase this morning
Don't know if anyone reading has heard of Tony Robbins, but I've known about him for a few years. I've been listening to his podcasts for the last couple of months, and watched the netflix doc on him on Sunday (I sobbed the whole way through!). Anyway, I've got his books on my amazon wishlist since then, and I was going to break and buy one today. BUT I RESISTED. I've decided I will buy it on payday if I still want it (I know I definitely will).
Plan for this evening is a 4.5 mile run, and then chill with the cat (as per usual). May treat myself to a bottle of beer depending on how my run goes(the beers are already in the house, thanks Mum)
I am currently £30 quid into my OD. I hope to only be -50 by the time payday rolls around. I've decided I'm going to use spare change I've been saving a pot to help whittle down any SM spends. I will definitely be spending there on Weds as I buy dinner for me and the bf. He's out at the pub on Saturday (boy's night so I'm not invited!) I may treat myself to a bottle of wine for the night (my fave is £4), but that depends how well I do the rest of the week. He mentioned going for breakfast in town on Saturday morning, but I can't expect him to pay again and town is just full of temptation. Maybe I'll say to him I'll just see him Friday evening for a bit instead :think:0 -
Logged onto my noddle account and my current score is 629/710 and my credit rating is 5/5. I do wonder if the fact I don't have a credit card means it's not as high as it could be? Wondering if it's worth paying the £30 fee for the noddle improve subscription? Does anyone have any experience with it/recommend it? I worry about these things when I think about getting a mortgage!! The bf has had credit cards and used them so not as much of a worry for him.0

Hi there!
I finally wrote my diary, let's see how I get on!
I really don't understand Noddle....my score goes up and down and really nothing changes on my report. I do have a credit card that I use and pay off in full every month, not sure if that has any bearing. I'd be really wary of paying anything to improve your score, there's some really good advice on here about that kind of thing, and the actual score isn't always that important to lenders, it's more how they interpret the information that's on your report. I'm sure there's an article on here about what each type of lender is looking for (eg a mortgage lender might look for very low debt, no defaults etc, whereas a credit card might be more interested in what might be most profitable for them). Only my opinion but there may be better ways of spending that £30 (several evenings worth of your favourite wine!).
Have a good evening!0 -
Hi drums,
Yeah I def think you're right...I'm sure my score was higher last time I logged on, and nothing has changed. Hmm. I did have an experian account for a while (the basic £3.99 version) but it just means you get told if anyone tries to make an account in your name, it doesn't give you the information about your credit score. I will save the £30When the bf and I spoke to a mortgage advisor through his work (a perk he has) they said the banks would look at our bank statements for 3 months prior, so probably something I don't have to think about for a while

Ok so I completely forgot about the money from am@zon hadn't come out of my account, so when I checked my bank account this morning I was -£55, oops
So I will aim to be -75 total by the time payday comes around. So annoyed I'm in this cycle still. I have some money from PA to withdraw (£14, so I would have to pay paypal feels) and I'm almost at cashout on cashbackearners. Considering withdrawing from PA to boost my funds a tiny bit. Will have a ponder
Did my 4.5 miles last night, was hard and was slipping everywhere but my split time was good considering. Had that beer and was delicious
Need to go to the SM tonight, buying stuff for pasta bake tonight. We've got plenty of pasta so just need chicken, sauce and cheese. Will probably buy a few extra bits as well so I don't need to go again this week, will need more baked beans and snacks for work. Got my change so I can whittle down the overall price :money:0 -
Just got an email from QVC, I've got a 2nd installment on easypay due on the 28th - £16.26 for a foundation I bought last month (which will last me a year). I'd completely forgotten. What's wrong with me!?
So I'm going to cashout on PA to cover the bulk of that.
Must do better next month0 -

Hi Ena! Long time no see!!
Yes he was the bloke in the lift!0 -
So went to the SM yesterday - total came to £26-something, but I had over £4 worth of change, so the total cost to my card was £21.62. I bought some more snacks for work (£1), 6 cans of baked beans, food for last nights dinner, chocolate, a bottle of wine, fruit juice and a £1 squeaky ball for bf's dog (as a treat). I'm hoping that means I won't have to go into any shops or buy anything else now until payday next Tuesday. I'm hopeful!0

Got my payslip for this month, just short of £100 worse off. Will also be in the red to the tune of about £92 this month, but have requested some PA money to bring that back a bit. Need to do a budget for next month as it needs to be tight to break this cycle. I need new glasses (prescription has change a bit and it's noticeable now) but don't know if I can afford it this month
need to see where I can find that money.
