Nto posted again in a while :( Got out the swing of posting every day.

I've officially "graduated" from my acid facials, so now I just have to maintain the skin I have. I will still use the products, but I'm sure over time I will be able to wean myself off those. Definitely worth the money I spent though, I am so much happier with my skin and breakouts are next to none now, and any I do get aren't nearly as bad as before. So that's one positive!

A negative is I've gone a bit mad with the CC buying stuff for holiday. It also looks worse as the last of my skin stuff went on there, alongside new lenses in my old frames. I'm trying not to panic but I don't like how I've put myself in this situation. SO the plan of action is June, July and August's paydays will see £350 going off the CC, which should clear it. (It's <£700 atm but ring fencing that money in case the balance increases for whatever reason!)May is the last month I will need to put any money towards holiday and spending money, so it should all work out fine. From there I can put a bumper amount into the deposit fund, then hopefully ready to look at flats in a few months.

I've only managed 2 NSD's this month so far, as I have had to buy some new clothes and bits like SPF for holiday. The next plan is to really go through what I've already bought, make sure I have outfits, and see if there's anything else I need to get. I do have stuff that can be taken back already.

I bought 2 jumpsuits for a wedding I'm going the end of May - I had bought a dress but it won't work out. I bought 2 with the hope one would work out great, as I'm petite and have a small frame so a lot of these things drown me. Plus most were poofy and frilly and that's just not me! Well, as it happens they both fit perfectly, height and everything, so I had to keep both :o I can wear one at the wedding, and both will be coming on holiday as they are comfy and will do well on those nights it's a bit more chilly.

I've still been doing a few PADs into my savings. I don't want to go too overboard as otherwise I leave myself short for the rest of the month.

My pension has started coming out of my paycheque - £17 quid a month! Exciting but also daunting saving for my future!

I've become overwhelmed again with the amount of "stuff" I've been bringing into my space, for various reasons. I have completely taken my eye off the ball in terms of minimalism. With that in mind, I have written a list of an area of my stuff I want to tackle every day. Tonight I have sorted out earrings. I've thrown away loads of studs I will never wear, and have got out 15 earrings, and one bracelet, that can be sold either individually or as a lot. This decluttering will mean bumper eb@y sales!

In terms of health, my bladder got better after two rounds of antibiotics, but last night it started giving me problems again, going into today. Hoping it's just my OAB and not an infection. WIll have to monitor. Annoying as I'd just got back into exercise! I've not been able to run since the half marathon , which both annoys me and depresses me, but I have to look after my health.

I think that's it for this update - I will try to be better and stop hiding from my habits :o

Quick check in seeing as I'm trying to be good

Was getting really down about my bladder last night and this morning. Went on some forums and saw a couple of things that people recommend for some of the symptoms I currently have. I bought them off am@zon, and as I want to try them asap I was tempted to go for same-day delivery, but that's £9.99  So I checked, and even though I have had a free trial before, I am somehow eligible for a trial of prime again. So that means I got free same-day delivery. I have made a note to cancel it if I don't get any more use of it this month, which considering I am trying not to spend frivolously I shouldn't need it.

So today was sadly not a NSD, but I can work on them the rest of this week. I am one of those people that chuck everything at a problem to see what will stick! So £24.17 spent today.

Thanks Ena, the feeling of hitting 10k has worn off now but it's still a big milestone for me! And the pension is making me feel like an actual adult

So much happier with my skin, I definitely see it as an investment as it was impacting my day to day life.

Well long time no check in again - had a bit of a rough month!

Along with my bladder issues, last week Monday I was hit by an aura migraine, which meant I had to leave work and it knocked me out for the next 3 days. Then Monday this week I realised I had another infection, which meant I'm on another lot of antibiotics! Luckily the walk-in clinic after work was pretty much empty, so got seen within an hour. For this area that is a miniscule waiting time!

Then I got home yesterday to my first ever PCN, which was from the day that I had driven to the docs, sick with a migraine, to get painkillers. It was entirely deserved, but I was caught by a parking eye, and it just annoys me because that roud never used to be a no right hand turn and now it is! So learnt my (very expensive) lesson there. It's a very expensive migraine for me, what with 2 and a half days less pay in my paypacket at the end of the month, prescription costs AND a PCN. Boo.

I'm having a very poor money month, preparing for holiday has wiped me out. I am in my OD already, and I've got a wedding this weekend to go to, which entails a 2 and a half hour drive each way, a hotel stay (already paid for) and I'm sure a non-free bar. As I'm on antibiotics I most likely won't drink anyway, but with food and petrol it will cost me.

I'm at that stage where I'm desperate for my payday to come so I can start sorting myself out again. I know it's all temporary, and I will be in a better position in the next few months where I don't have so much to pay for, but I just hate this feeling.

Being ill has also meant hardly no exercise which has left my crawling up the walls (although no literally).

So all in all it's been a bit of a rubbish month, although there's still some time to turn it around. And I know next month should be good as I'm off on holiday

That's all my moans for now!

Quick update while I have a few minutes at work-
Bladder seems to be on the mend (fingers crossed). I've got the wedding tomorrow, although I've just found out from the bf that the ceremony was actually yesterday. He always finds out this kind of info last minute!! I've got to drive us to Oxford in the morning, hope the roads and traffic are kind to us! We've got an overnight stay there, the hotel looks nice so hopefully it should be a nice day/evening.

We went shopping last night, mainly for his holiday stuff as I've got the majority of mine. I spent some money on a tshirt and some loungy shorts which are vital in this weather. Oh and a card for my mum's birthday which is coming up.

I've made a payment to the CC, so I'm on course to clear it by the end of August which is my goal. From there I can use it for things like petrol every month, so I'm still building a credit rating.

I've not got much else planned for the weekend - might do some organising at home as my room is so cluttered it's making me anxious. Always the same story! Then maybe load some stuff on eb@y.

I still need to cash in my cheque, won't be able to do that until next weekend. I think I'll put that towards my house deposit. The bf has another bonus pending (jammy sod! Although he does work hard for it I don't get the option for them at my place) which when it comes through gives us our 10% deposit. Then it's just saving for the fees and other miscellaneous costs!

I think that's enough rambling for today. Have a good weekend everyone!

Update: my house fund is currently at £10,294.77. I've still not cashed in my £25 cheque from premium bonds as I've not been near a bank. I'll do that next weekend when I'm in town anyway and once it's cleared it'll go into the house fund.

I got paid on Wednesday, the damage wasn't too bad after my days off and going into my OD at the end of the month, so I'm not too worried. Still managed to put money into my house fund, into my usual savings accounts and paid £100 off my CC, so that'll come down nicely over the next couple of months.

It's the countdown to my holiday now - I go on the 14th and it can't come quick enough!!

Still having trouble with my bladder, and have had murders with my doctors and the out of hours surgery. I love that we have the NHS, don't get me wrong, but I'm very disillusioned with Doctors as a whole as every one I come across is rude and ignorant, especially about the problems that I have. Waiting for my referral to come through for the hospital, but not really hoping for much as last time I was having tests and appointments about my issues they were nothing but useless. If tests don't show anything they're basically not interested in looking any deeper or at other causes, it's a case of well you'll have to deal with it I'm sure it's not that bad. But being a fairly young girl with bladder problems is just a tad embarrassing in day to day life. Anyway I asked to go back on my medication to see if that makes any difference, it didn't last time but it won't kill me and I'm willing to try anything at this point.

The wedding I went to over the BH was lovely, really enjoyed it even though I was on the alcohol-free beer due to being on antibiotics. I liked that I woke up with a clear head the next day while everyone else was feeling it  The drive there was horrendous (I hate you m25!!) but the drive home was easy. So swings and roundabouts! Then for some reason Sunday and Monday morning I felt broken - like literally heartbroken. Couldn't stop crying. Nothing had happened for me to feel that way, I just felt like life was too hard. Then I had a heart to heart with my bf, and we decided to go out to try and get me out of my head. Had a lovely afternoon/evening at a local pub bistro and then back to his for a couple of drinks with his family. I feel 100x better now so not even sure what it was about! Maybe it was just that all my recent issues had got to me, who knows.

Anyway, sorry for the pity party! I know deep down that my issues aren't that bad, I mean it makes my life hard at times but it's not the worst thing I could have wrong. Need to stay positive, and that's so easy to do when it's sunny outside! :D

Went to A!di this morning and was chuffed with what I got for £18 - snacks for a house party I'm going to tonight, cat food, pre-made cocktail, lemonade, toiletries etc. Must make more of an effort to go there rather than the dreaded T-bomb!

Anyway that's my rambling done for today - hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Quick update as it's been a while...

I got back off holiday on Sunday morning (very early hours) after a lot of delays, feeling very very rough as I got ill on holiday (chest infection), but pushing through as I need my full salary this month! Had a brilliant time away as always, I've got about £10 to get me through to payday this month, should be ok!

Bf got a massive bonus for a lot of overnight shifts at work, doing something that's above his paygrade, which will push his deposit fund up to £18k, and I've got £10k, so we're going to get a meeting with a mortgage adviser to see if we can start thinking about a mortgage in principal, and start looking! Exciting!

I need to get my CC cleared as I don't want that hanging over us while we're approaching lenders, so I will aim to clear that in the next couple of months. If I have to dip into my deposit fund I will.

I will try and update more next month - I need to get back on eb@y as I've got loads of things I can get rid of, including a couple of things bought for holiday that I didn't touch.

    That's it for now :)

Also to add, my car had its MOT on Saturday, and it passed!!! :j So glad because I really didn't want to have the hassle of looking for another one (it's probably not worth paying much money on it if there's a real problem!) and as it's my first car I still feel pretty attached to it :o My step-dad had to get me new wipers before it went through as apparently they were hanging off :o So I had to pay a total of £60 from my car fund, which didn't hurt at all as the money was already there! That's a big load off my mind for the time being :A
