Thanks lessavyfav! Very happy to have met the target, feel motivated to push forward now! I know how you feel, sometimes I feel like I lose my way a bit but it's difficult being good all the time!0

Signed up for a half marathon in my local area next year (not sure why they release it so early!) So that's £29 spent this morning, and need to get some food for lunch and go to tesco later today. Spendy0

Bit of a spendy one yesterday
Went to the coop to get a mealdeal for lunch - £3.25. Then spent £18 in tesco (work lunch bits, some stuff for my mum, shampoo, cat treats...) and also £30 on amazon. I tend to buy stuff in bulk from amazon as *sometimes* it works out cheaper, so I got protein shakes and inter dental toothbrushes - riveting stuff. I'm trying to be good with my eating and find that having a protein shake in the afternoon helps keep my snacking cravings down.
Today will be a NSD if it kills me.0 -
Also had a bit of a nightmare with boohoo, first time ordering - ordered a choker on 24th July, was before 3pm and next day delivery was cheaper than standard due to a code, so chose that. The choker failed to turn up after 5 days so asked for an update - they told me (after me chasing them) that it had gone missing when en route to their couriers. Got a refund, they confirmed it yesterday, and today the choker has appeared through my letter box!! So bizarre. I'd already bought one from another company as I needed it for Saturday, so now I have two
Not great service but feel I've won slightly..

Hey CB, huge congrats on getting your fund over 50%, that's brilliant :T
That's so annoying when you pay for next day delivery but they let you down. Definitely deserve the choker as compo! Are you going to keep it or eb@y it or regift it?
I signed up for a magazine subscription once and it should have come with a £5 Am@zon voucher but I never got it so I complained. They offered me the choice of other stuff so I plumped for a Ch@rles W0rthingt0n hair care set, thinking it would just be miniatures. Well, I never got that either so I complained again. A few days later this envelope turned up with 4 full size products worth over £30 :T A week later, a second envelope arrived with another 4 full size productsHehe, I was happy

Thanks Ena! My friend was talking the other day about how she'd been looking for a choker similar to mine, so I said to her she can have it! It's exactly the same one as I bought from elsewhere, so just going to pass it along.
Hahaha oh dear that company just couldn't get it right for could they!! Amazing that you got two lots in the end though. I'm definitely of the opinion now that you should complain when things aren't right, see what you can get(not just for the sake of it though!!)

Tuesday was NSD 1, and yesterday was my birthday!
Got very spoilt. A small bottle of proseccor and a perfume from the girls in the office, a beautiful scarf and box of chocolates from my boss, a picnic lunch (with drink!) from my boss, a running watch and chocolates from the bf, colouring pens and pencils from my brother, and loads of beauty bits from my mum. Oh, also £50 from my mum.
I had to go to Boots as I've been meaning to for a few weeks, had a list of stuff to get - spent £31 but got double points with a birthday voucher they sent through the post. Then £30 on a meal with the bf to celebrate my birthday (lots of celebrating has been going on I'm aware!)
In years gone by I've found my birthday so depressing, and although I'm having a bit of a mid-life crisis (don't feel 26!) I realised yesterday that I'm actually really happy with my life at the moment. I have a job, I have a great relationship with a lovely man, and I'm healthy. I need to remember all that when I decide to have a pity party.
So that's that for another year.0 -
Yesterday wasn't a NSD as I went through my amazon wishlist, and any books that I could get cheap (ie for a penny and then postage) I did. Spent £12.95 and am including that spent as from my birthday money.
I'm not doing anything this weekend now - I had had plans for a friend's bbq at her place in London tomorrow, but she forgot that she'd made the plans and is now doing a course instead.......anyway it means a cheap weekend as it will be cleaning during the day, a night in at the bf's and then Sunday chilling, reading and running. Sounds like a pretty good weekend to be honest!
Think tonight I will drink the prosecco I got from work for my bday and read my book. For some reason I feel really flat and lethargic so need to chill and then get my mojo back!
Ebay has gone completely flat for me as well. Got watchers on items but nothing has been sold. Feel to just donate everything I have up for sale now as it's been up there a good few months, and if it's not sold now is there much point holding onto it? Not sure what to do. I also need to get back on clearing out my clutter, as I've accumulated a lot the past couple of months, with nowhere to put it. My room at my mum's doesn't have a great deal of storage, so it ends up looking cluttered just because I've got nowhere to "hide" the stuff. Also aware I won't have that much room once I move in with the bf, so if I can get started on it now it'll be a bonus.
I'm waffling. Better get back to work!0 -
Ah a belated happy birthday to you CB :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:_party_
I know, its annoying to have stuff that just won't sell when its worth something.I've got some stuff on Shp0ck but if it's not gone by next Wednesday I'm going to donate it. Although I'm tempted to put everything on at a pound and see.......:)
