Today has been fairly productive - cleaned (and hoovered) my ever-so-dirty car, can't believe I let it get that bad. Did some yoga, and finished a novel that's taken me all week. My bf got me a jokey present of yoga socks for my bday, actually they performed quite well. They have toe holes though (like gloves but for feet!) and I have short toes so it looks like I have no toes in them :rotfl: Nice and grippy though. Will be going over the the bf's soon and have a lazy night with fajitas and chocolate. Bliss.
Not spent anything today so will be NSD 2, and tomorrow I shouldn't need to either. Will be giving bf a lift to his referee course, and going on a run. He got me a brand spanking new running watch, so desperate to try it out! Will be much better than struggling with my mobile phone to see my time/splits.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend in the sun0 -
Was up bright and early today to take my bf to his referee course. Was going to run today, but my ibs is really playing up - does it every weekend. Think I may need to to go to the docs, I think it's stress related in that it builds up during the week and then when I relax on the weekend it all gets released and goes to my stomach. I've heard of people being referred to get CBT on the NHS to control the symptoms, as I think it is mainly stress related rather than food. My docs are a bit weird though so they might laugh me out the door! It does mess up my weekends though and often means I have to skip runs/exercise...I know it's that because on a Saturday morning *bang* my symptoms are horrendous.
Got a load of washing on, need to do some tidying/organising and then maybe some reading. I don't know why the weekend goes so quickly0 -
I've also decided I'm going to look into acupuncture - spent all day in bed with a painful stomach, ruined my weekend as usual. My boss has been to one on the same industrial estate that I work on, so I'm going to start there. Need to get a handle on this because it's making me miserable
All I managed today was washing and remaking my bed - not a very successful day.0 -
I'm going to try and take a different approach this week, and note out what I "have" to spend, and then go from there - so....
Today - Tesco for work food - £10 max; petrol for car - £30
Forgot my chicken had gone off in the work fridge so £3.25 work lunch, £6.66 in Tesco and £29.80 petrol
Tuesday - eyebrows - £25
Paid £25 for eyebrows
Wednesday - probably tesco again as will be eating at the bf's and it's my turn to buy the ingredients - £10
£14 spent
Thursday - should be NSD
Fail - got a bottle of wine from the corner shop£5
Friday - should be NSD
Fail again - £14.35 in Tesco
Saturday - hair appointment - £47; parking - £2.50 (this is assuming I don't go anywhere else of get lunch in town! MUST.BE.GOOD); double date, will be bus fare, drinks, and then possibly bus/uber back depending on how late - will budget £30
£47 @ hairdressers and £19 :@Primark, £3 @ Greggs
Sunday - (completey forgot Sunday!) Should be NSD
Total for week - £154.50
Actual total - £167.06
Ouchy. Looks worse as I have the only two beauty treatments I get done in the same week. Non-negotiable are the eyebrows, hair and petrol (need this for work!) so there's room in the tesco trips and night out. The trip to town is dangerous as I always end up meeting the bf and we go for coffee  Let's see how I can do.
ETA - Friday was NSD 2, Saturday NSD 3 , Sunday NSD 40 -
Work is ridiculously boring - feel like my brain is melting
Withdrew the money I had sitting in PA- very slow there atm so rather than waiting thought I'd just take it now, and wait until it picks up again in September to get back on it.
That's £9.65 added to the house fund, sig updated.
Getting my eyebrows done in an hour, so tempted to get wine on the way home but MUST. RESIST0 -
Had an eb@y sale last night, only just noticed when checking the address this morning that it's going to NI....wonder if that's going to cost me more in postage? Will see when I get to the PO I suppose.
Anyway, weird how I got that sale after I'd all but given up on it. Perhaps this a sign to keep going....?
Resisted temptation to get a bottle of wine on the way home from getting my eyebrows done last night....just nabbed a can of beer from the fridge instead :rotfl:0 -
Packed and posted the shirt. Got sent as a large letter so saved on postage. Woo!
As there is a coop next door thought I'd buy the groceries for tonight's dinner there. Also had no lunch for work as the chicken I had bought on Monday had gone off within a day!!!! so my budget was £10 but in actuality spent £14, with the ingredients for dinner, lunch and cat treats as I was out. oh well, dinner was delicious and I have left overs for tomorrow :money:0 -
I've opened yet another savings account - this time for beauty stuff. I know when I'm going to have treatments (eyebrows every month, hair normally every 8 weeks) so if I put money aside each month it won't feel like such a drain on my normal spending money every time they come round.0

My bf's best friend at work has bought a 2 bed flat literally round the corner from my bf's parents' house - £310k. Eek. I think we knew we wouldn't be able to afford round here, but that's definitely out of our budget. It's not even that close to the station either, it's a good 25 minute walk, and I don't think it has a garden or anything.
Depresses me to think we are completely priced out of our own area0 -
Went for a run with the bf - feel so unfit had to make him walk halfway through! Need to get back on it. Used my fancy running watch that I got for my bday though - so much better than using my phone.
Was naughty and walked to the shop and got a bottle of wineBut it is going down so well I'm not sure I can beat myself up about it!
