Motorpoint Car Service History Query.

My Partner bought a car at Motorpoint
We collected the Nissan Juke from the nearest Branch 30 miles away by Taxi as we had sold our car.
We were informed that the Manual, Service History and spare key were in the post.
We accepted this as we needed the car.
After several phone calls we received the Manual and spare key but no Service History.
We rang Nissan who put us through to the previous Garage.
They informed us that they had carried out the only service done at 14500 miles which was 2000 miles late.
If we had known there was no Service History we would not have purchased this car.
We have had the car one week and have received this information today.
Is there anything we can do?

It does have a service history then, Nissan can track it and see it was done despite being late.

Unless Nissan are saying the warranty is invalid due to late service I cannot see a problem.

If they are then reject it as Warranty is void, if they are not then either just rely on the Nissan Electronic record or you can pick up a new blank service book online for a few quid, and if you really need to get the garage that serviced it to stamp it

Service books mean almost nothing in the day of electronic histories

Nissan say the warranty is invalid.
Motorpoint say they will take responsibility for the Warranty but when we change the car it will be without the Nissan Warranty.

Well if Nissan say its invalid I would be chucking it back at Motorpoint as missold

I am a great fan of Motorpoint and have bought multiple cars from them and only had minor niggles which they went above and beyond to resolve

But in a case like this when Nissan say warranty invalid. Personally I would get it escalated to complaints and stick with it till they take it back. Normal rules apply reject it stop driving it (If you can take it back and dump it on them).

I am sure as it was sold as balance of makers warranty they would rather take it back and either put you in something else or refund you than have a fuss over a missold

Call Customer services and ask to raise an official complaint they will start a complaint case and it will go from there

    Good Luck

If the car already as 14,000 plus miles on the clock, why is this an issue? You will no doubt add another 20,000 - 30,000 miles before you pass it on. A third owner is unlikely to factor in a fsh when they purchase it.

Rang Motorpoint to reject vehicle and they said as they have agreed to honour Warranty unlikely they will accept rejection.

Was the car advertised as having manufacturer's warranty?
