Sturgeon is going against the wishes of the majority by demanding a referendum

Theresa May is acknowledging the wishes of the majority by denying one.

Yes exactly, as Ruth Davidson hilariously said

“Put forward an unworkable proposal, wait for Westminster politicians to point it out, and then rush to a nearby microphone, with the angry face on, and trot out the same old tired complaints.”

This is the way forward, just take the ball away from them.

It's encouraging to know that this sort of thing is being developed. The SNP, being a fanatical group, have a typically cpmpulsivefondness for coordinated group militancy, so it's pleasing to see a bit of counter plotting.

Although I'm not so sure that boycotting a legal referendum would be wise, I presume that action assumes it is an illegitimate referendum which people are being asked to boycot (So I'm assuming we are talking about an illegal SNP imposed even, a legal referendum would be a different matter). That would mean the SNP would win the so-called referendum so a boycot would only be successful if a large number of people joined it and reduced the turnout to low levels, eg under 50% of so. Or, indeed, local councils. So good luck.

But in addition to a boycot that is not all that could be done. I've mentioned bsfore my belief that legal challenges that could be tried. That takes energy and funding. But it would screw up the referendum process and even if not 100% successful would delay things and, if handled skillfully, further damage the legitimacy of the referendum itself in the minds of Scots. Some examples could be:

    O. Challenge on the legality of the referendum on the basis that it's intent is unconstitutional in usurping Reserved matters
    O. Challenge on the participation of non Brits in the referendum
    O. Challenge on the non partipation of Scots living in the text of the UK

It does not matter what the words in the Referendum are, it's the intent that matters as far as the legal challenges is concerned.

Such legal challenges should be brought just before the referendum date to tests the most disruption .

Then of course there is social media and the like. I don't like that because it is division but one can be sure that the SNP will be all over that like a rash so it has to be done.

Of course, not being Scottish myself it's not for me to define such things for Scots, it's a Scottish perogative. I only mention them to stimulate ideas --- a catalyst to the Plotting process! It's up to you Scots.

Maybe after any Scottish Referendum the other Nations in the Union should be asked their opinion if the status quo is affected or challenged.

Let's make the mountain that the SNP has to climb as difficult as possible.

Sturgeon has got it all wrong.

I reckon that if she pulled her finger out, she could knock out half a dozen referendums before Christmas 2017.

The voters would get bored and give up eventually.

It's very EUropean to ask people the same question until you get the answer you want ;)

Neil Findlay was even better. Sturgeon actually cannot even reply to him pointing out her hypocrisy so well, she just sits in embarrassed silence. The Greens look just as bad. Video does not embed but I have set the start time.

Scotland wants both. End of story ( unless you're talking sanctions or something?
Sturgeon, and you, keep claiming that May is going for a HARD Brexit, which as far as I understand the term, that the UK will be completely out of the single market.

If that is the case there has to be a hard border because tariffs will be imposed. and no free movement.

So leaving aside the probably scenario should Scotland separates from the EU and inserting the eventual membership of Scotland if you're lucky within the EU, that means that in effect there will effectively be sanctions, imposed by Brussels.

Claiming that the UK is going for a hard Brexit means a hard border as well.

    Thank you for posting that.

I am so glad Davidson said that - it encapsulates the whole of the SNP policy.

No bother and yes it really does. Neil Findlay in the other link is even better imo.

It is a junk poll though in this case. Laughably so when compared to the official polling companies with proper weighting ( which this one doesn't have ).

If you actually want FACT. Then you won't find in Skydata polls. FACT. :)
