Unless I've missed something I think Ms Sturgeon would quite like to be remembered as the politician who caused the break up of the UK. But the Union will collapse under the watch of the British Prime MInister who presides over it.
David Cameron is not remembered fondly thanks to Brexit, but there will be no mercy at all for Theresay May, or whoever else, if the country splits down the middle under her oversight.
You have missed something. Why does Sturgeon and the SNP want independence and then also want to blame the PM or someone else if it does happen.
I remember Sturgeon saying recently that Mrs May's actions will lead to the breakup of the UK, well that is what they want and if it does they should give the PM the highest honour Scotland can give.0 -

Quite right, they are the ones playing games.0 -
As for May not being 'elected' as PM. Was Sturgeon from 2014-16 when Salmond resigned as First Minister. Did she not make any decisions before she was 'elected' as FM?0

I just think eventually the Brexicists will push Scotland out of the Union - even if it doesn't happen now.
They are quite left wing up there you know.0 -

The funny thing is we do not elect our PMS, not ever. We elect the local MP, then the party with the most MPs is the party that goes into power, therefore their leader becomes PM. If that leader changes then the party remains in power but the PM changes. If Sturgeon does not realise that I would be very surprised. Therefore she is just the little kid in the playground saying he's better than another kid because his dad has a better car or the such. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

That really wasn't very speechless now was it ?0 -
Why is there so much anger on this forum?
It really is a very bilious place.0 -

Tired of the lies and ignorance I expect. I get that way sometimes on this thread.
There's very little about Scottish independence that actually makes sense. Take Joanna Cherry's performance on BBCQT last night on the question of what currency Scotland would use if it were independent.
"Erm, um, ack, um, er, well..., er"
And the mendacious nature of SNP MP's and MSP's banging on about mandates given to politicians when their very own "mandate" only comes from 55% of the electorate. Their militant attitude in Westminster, the constant antagonism and then complaints about consensus and working together. For example the demand/diktat that Scotland must remain in the single market is not a compromise, it's an ultimatum. You won't see or hear ANYONE who supports the SNP and independence admit that. They see it as the pious SNP attempting to work with the vile Conservatives.
The SNP is a mendacious party, the independence movement is a mendacious and militant movement (particularly on social media), strutting around with a false sense of piety proclaiming themselves to be progressive, virtuous and honest while opposition to them is nasty, vile, vindictive, incompetent and ill-informed.
Go and take a look at #ScotRef on twitter (because they don't want to use #IndyRef2 like everyone else, probably should have used #echochamber it would be more accurate) and you'll see pictures of Jimmy Saville and comments of "lets get out" amongst other low brow insults to people of the union and politicians in Westminster.0 -

Corbyn wasn't voted for in a GE either. He would not have an opposition bench the size he does at the moment, if he had been leader in 2015.0
