Did anyone catch This Week, the episode on last night (16-Mar) ?
The issue of timing came up, and was presented to John Nicolson (SNP).
Andrew O'Neill asked John how the logistics would work with a referendum in autumn 2018, given it takes 18 months to separate Scotland.
He really didn't have an answer, just like the SNP woman on QT earlier, when asked about currency.
It does feel like they are winging it.
Do you think it a reasonable idea to carry through one referendum at a time?
Suppose Scotland did vote Yes in a future indyref2. Would they be just a tad annoyed if Westminster offered a referendum on English independence just a few weeks later, and all the focus turned to that?
Or...maybe you could go the SNP way...the more the merrier. Let's throw in a referendum on independence for the Shetlands whilst we are at it. It's only *advisory*, after all0 -
Of course they are winging it! The NHS, Education and Police Scotland have gone down the tubes since this SNP government has had responsibility.0
