Oh, have Wales and NI politicians sent a delegation out to Norway/Iceland/Sweden/<insert country here> ?
It's always the SNP moaning in the media.
Mind, I'd make use of Tasmina Any-Party-Will-Do whilst I can, if I were the SNP. There isn't a political ship in existence that she isn't capable of jumping to.0 -
Phew .... I'm glad I'm back in your posts, I was worried sick you'd put me on ignore. :^)
I'm sure you would have posted the update just as soon as you'd seen it
I'd have words though if I were you, it really isn't on that you're left to run the MSE chapter of the spinSNP® all by yourself.
I do apologise. Next time my kids need picking up from school and straight to a dentist appointment I'll ignore all that and sit watching Glenn Campbell updates on Twitter instead.
I come here to relax and talk about something else entirely from the forum I run. Keeps the old brain ticking over.. and besides, this thread would just turn into an echo chamber based on Daily Express headlines if I wasn't about. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

How can it be a gift when it was always the case?
There are no acts of parliament that parliament cannot repeal, at least that's how I understand it.
How could anyone think otherwise? Therefore it's only a gift if idiots can be persuaded that this is somehow a gift. Pretty poor tactics to rely on the stupidity of others to gain ground instead of trying to make a genuinely sound argument for independence. No?0 -

As for delegations, how else will Scotland get it's ducks in a row for remaining in the EU/or Single Market/or another independence referendum if they don't start sorting it out now. Can't hang about forever waiting on Theresa May to finally stop twiddling her thumbs in silence.
...
If the SNP got a mandate from the people of Scotland via even an advisory referendum it would give you far more ducks to put in a row.
Cameron made the same mistake of going to Europe for a deal without any clear mandate. The EU states called his bluff, and sent him home without very much in his pocket.
How does it look if you get solid backing from the likes of Norway, and then later find you don't get the referendum results you require?
Much egg on face methinks.0 -

Yes, the sovereignty of parliament is supremeChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

Nothing to lose by giving it a shot. It might be a Yes vote, and the EU/EFTA might be fine with Scotland remaining or joining respectively. Options are all open, but staying with the UK for fear of a No vote closes ALL of them down. Including any sort of say and risking Westminster closing down devolution powers at any point in the future.
Article 50 first though. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Such a competent individual.
I wonder if independence will make him comply with the law like most other citizens? It seems to be the answer to everything else...0 -
