Suggest you spend less time on social media then.

to be fair I dont get upset by it,life is too short, I just think it very important to mention seeing as how its mentioned a considerable amount that the Scots dont like the English with no real proof given ...

how do you feel about the subject?

how do you feel about the latest court ruling as well while were here, it was an awfy busy day yesterday, I wouldve expected this thread to be discussing it more

I spose it's how u define things.... either way lets not detract from the online abuse currently directed towards the Scots from.their southern neighbours ... particularly when I've seen so so so many times Scots have been accused of being anti English... do you feel it acceptable behaviour ?

I can see why it might raise some eyebrows but go for it. We're all British; English, Scottish, Yorkshireman, Klingon etc are just labels we apply to ourselves to tell a story.

You might think you're 'us' today but don't be surprised if one day you end up as one of 'them'. That's how nationalism works - mission creep as they get more emboldened.
  • We're all British

I disagree there- you may feel that way but I (and my family) do not feel British, we feel colonised

Heres a video that goes some way to explain (some bad words- so you are warned) from a comedian

    Feelings don't come into it.

British is a nationality. Scottish, English etc. are narratives.

    Remedial Scottish history lessons required.

In other news the subjugation of those poor Scots Nationalists by those nasty colonising English continues with the wanton safeguarding of hundreds of shipbuilding jobs on the Clyde.

Mollycat, can I apologise on behalf of my birthplace city of Plymouth for elantan’s attitude to Scotland’s place in our Union.

You're moving up in the world, Trommy. :)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

A tad presumptuous on my part I admit Mayo, but 'Britain's Ocean City' could do a lot worse. :)

    Nail on head, 100%

Your apology is most welcome, as is your insight into the warped motivation of others. :)
