I’ll await your apology for misunderstanding my post.

Arklight doesn’t appear to have it in him/her to admit an honest mistake it seems. Says a lot that.

Just to add I really ain't a fan of Sturgeon, but I was impressed with her behaviour, after the way Boris Johnson has spoken about various people including the Scots I thought she was very polite

It dates back to 2004 when in his position as editor at The Spectator he chose to publish a poem calling for the “extermination” of the “verminous Scottish race” written by James Michie.

Michie, who was at the time a staff writer on The Spectator, supposedly wrote “Friendly Fire” in jest, but saying Scots are “polluting our stock” is … not exactly a joke.

I'm afraid your frantic back pedalling has failed to convince me, or anyone else, as to your original intent.

    Good day.

Trying to convince yourself that your view (ie. mistake) is shared by others is a bit of a giveaway too.
Not your finest hour this Arky. :)

New polling conducted by Lord Ashcroft finds first lead for independence since March 2017

A majority of Scots are now in favour of independence and want a second referendum by 2021, according to a new poll.

Almost half (47 per cent) of the Scots surveyed in the poll said that there should be a second independence referendum within the next two years, which fits with the timetable announced by the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, who has said she wants a referendum by the end of this parliamentary term

Section 30 request next ( refused of course).. then who knows.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

    Then?.....Absolutely nothing that's meaningful :)

SNP call an illegal "referendum" that all sensible NO voters opt out from leaving a pointless YES "victory" after a turnout of circa 40%.

Back to square 1; independence voters continue to vent unfounded, grudge/unfairness whilst most Scots continue to enjoy the fiscal benefits from remaining in the UK, (and avoid being out of the UK and the EU) and carry on regardless.

So, no. Not really "moving along nicely", from a separatist's viewpoint at all. :)

I expect some frothing at the mouth from certain unionists along the lines of, you've had yer vote, once in a generation, it will be an illegal vote and us no voters wont show up, Barcelona etc etc etc

they are quite scared just now ... poor wee scones

Proud Scots have seen the rancid puffing bloat monster foisted on them by the Tories, and they will rebel. Enough is enough, no personal cost will be too high for the price of indy. The richest will bear the highest burden and do so gladly and with generous demeanour.

I'm beginning to be envious ....the Scots have an escape route not open to the rest of us!
