In other words, you don't know, haven't a clue and will just hope for the best. And you accuse other posters of lack of understanding or failing to make sense.
In the end, Scotland's best interests are best judged by an electorate of those who live and reside in Scotland getting what they vote for.
You failed to make sense because you flip flop like a big wet sandal between asserting that the SNP should do all things as an independent country would. Before flopping the other way and insisting that this cannot be because the SNP only run an devolved administration and that Westminster/Tories are in charge.
If you could just remember that at the present time Scotland isn't independent, then it would make reading your posts a lot easier. Because sometimes it appears you forget and waste lots of pixels getting yourself angry about the SNP and how they 'run' the Scottish economy. When the truth is, that they only run parts of it, and even then the overall budget for those is decided elsewhere. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

You're confusing me with someone else. Show me where I have posted any of these things.
I have always said believed in the right of self-determination and if Scotland votes for independence, they should have it.
It's just that I call bovine poo whenever I see it and in your case, you seem to extrude an extraordinary amount.0 -
Here's how it worked shakey 2014 the good people of Scotland voted to remain as part of the UK. 2016 the good people of the UK voted to leave the EU. What's your problem? Democracy?0

Here is another ill conceived SNP plot to destroy another large exporting sector.........minimum pricing of alcohol.
Can they not see the damage this policy will have, yet they blunder on just as they are doing with the named person.
Couldn't run a bath let alone the country. Total shambles as per.0 -

However, what I will say is that British politics as a whole is just about finished. The Welsh, Scottish and NI administrations all want differing things and Tories/Labour divided also. In Scotland's case it's only going to take one or two political events in order to tip things over the line.
Again, no one knows the economic future of the UK. You only need to read the Brexit thread here to see how clueless everyone is on what's going to happen in the next few years. So let's not pretend you know any different either and at least I'm honest about it. You can pontificate all you like about an independent Scotland, but in the end you don't really know and it's kind of time you admitted it.
You're in the minority who think that, a rather loony minority.0 -

Honest? You are joking aren't you? You have been caught out posting a number of outrageous fibs on this thread.
And it's about time you dropped the attitude.
Here's an example of a a patronising insult you delivered to a poster named cogito.Shakethedisease wrote: »...It's like talking to a child explaining this to be honest. If you need me to type a bit slower do let me know....
But your explanation of the Barnett formula was a pile of nonsense. The Barnett formula has no statutory basis, whilst UK taxes are a matter of law. I'm puzzled as to how you can be so wrong about something, and yet have the cheek to insult other posters for not sharing your delusion.
As I have said before, I cannot dismiss the possibility that you are a Unionist troll, dedicated to the cause of smearing SNPers. I find it difficult to believe that someone can be so wrong about almost everything, whilst demonstrating a complete lack of knowledge on the subject.:)0 -

Patronising insults don't bother me, antrobus. As Dennis Healey might have said - it's like being savaged by a dead sheep. People usually only resort to insults when they have lost the argument.0 -

It's served it's purpose, but the politics of the UK are diverging too quickly. None of the UK parties even fight on the same issues during General Elections anymore. Certainly not in Scotland anymore. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

No, you've just gotten the wrong end of the stick. Back in 2010 General Election etc were all concerned with the UK as a whole. The issues, UK wide and a straight choice between Brown, Cameron or Clegg. I followed it just as you probably did ( voted for Clegg in the end ).. but it was definitely a UK wide election.
These days Scottish elections seem very different to UK elections and the issues. The leaders of the devolved parties ( Sturgeon/Davidson/Dugdale/Foster/Jones etc ) are holding more and more sway and prominence as time goes on. Just think back to 2010 for comparison ?
Scotland really does now feel like a separate country when it's time for parties to campaign and the electorate to vote. UK wide politics is just about finished imo. Corbyn could hold the tide back for a bit.. just a shame he's all for a Hard Brexit Lexit. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0
