    I can't stop crying.

jm thanks I do appreciate it but the sentiment isn't how I or indeed my husband's thoughts are. His soul and mine were already united and it doesn't help thinking of him becoming part of other things.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Dekaspace, if this has happened today, then it's the middle of the day, it's not unreasonable for families to get together at this time, they can't sit in silence because you want to be quiet.

I agree that if this happens at unsocial hours, then it is indeed unreasonable. But you live in a flat, you are sure to hear some noise.

Not intending to get at you, just pointing out that maybe you have unrealistic expectations.

Let me be clear I have no problem with gatherings but this is around 30 people in a property, more like a large scale party and been ongoing since around 7am and still ongoing now not everyday noise but blasting loud music, people screaming at other people, dog barked in a 30 minute period only had a few sort 30 second pauses the whole time and I heard kids laughter as they played in every room at once (since there was so many)

You should know by now I have lived in flats many years (over 12 and 7 years of house share before that) I am used to noise, certain aspects were always nightmare

"some noise" is everyday noise like them coming and going and maybe kids crying if they can't sleep or tv on loud, or having guests round even every day.

The daily noise does annoy me but I tolerate it as I know its only for a few hours most in morning a hour in afternoon and hour at bedtime.
  • OK, I didn't realise that it had been going on since 7 am.From your post it sounded as though it had started around lunchtime.

Maybe they will all go home before bedtime:)

No, you'd be doing it to suit YOURSELF, they sound like they're doing just fine.

May I remind you that this thread is intended as a safe space. It is obvious that you've taken issue with Deka following one of his previous threads but this particular thread does not exist to give people a vehicle with which to goad others.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

If I may sum up what Dekaspace has said in the past, for the benefit of anyone who may not have read all his posts:-

    # The upstairs flat has laminate flooring when it is supposed to have carpet as a condition of the tenancy. As everyone knows, that type of flooring will make even the gentlest footstep and dropping of a pencil sound loud, let alone normal children and multiple adult sounds.

    # Also, it would appear that the flat upstairs has acquired a dog, when dogs are not allowed.

    # Deka has approached the Housing Association but they appear reluctant to enforce the flooring or dog issue.

    # The upstairs people aware that Deka is disturbed by their noise, but they don't appear to see it as their problem.

Deka, all you can do is to keep approaching the Housing Association about it, and to keep having a 'friendly' word with the upstairs occupants. That really is all you can do, tbh. :A

The thing is, zIa, that this thread is a thread for people who may have problems with their physical and /or mental health that may make them feel very vulnerable, and for people who can offer help and support.

Could I ask you to read the first 2 or 3 posts at the start of the thread, and then you will see what I mean.

One of the main things we try to do on here is to accept that a person's problems are very real to them, and are affecting their lives, and so we do not want to be judgemental or critical, but rather to try to be helpful, even if it's only to be a listening ear.

Judgement and criticism has its place in Discussion Time, but not here. :A
