Gqot myself a hot water bottle today to heelp my back.

If you can face it (I know how much I hate them, especially in this weather) try an ice pack instead, just make sure you wrap it in a tea towel or kitchen roll first, as it should help to reduce any inflamation.

MU - Very well done on the debts :T

    Good advice, Izzie.
    I would second that.

I would add that after a few seconds, you don't notice the cold.

That sort of sudden back pain, especially after lifting, etc., is a bit like spraining an ankle, so a cold pack is often preferable to heat.

You can always hug the hot water bottle for comfort at the same time.

    Big hugs to you Torry.
I find the period between a loved one dying and the funeral the hardest. I hope you managed to eat something, and that the cat is ok.

Friend came round with fish and chips, I enjoyed it. I couldn't find the cat on Monday evening, it was very traumatic.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Glad you had a nice meal.

Naughty puddy, putting you through that. :(
Perhaps she smelt the fish and chips and hurried back?

I still have urges but i refuse to give in to them. My legs are covered in scars but bit by bit i'm going over them [penguin]

    Yey! Go you, MessedUp!

3years! That's quite an achievement! Well done!
And breaking the back of your debts, too!

A whole 'new, improved' MU on the horizon! :T

And I've just finished a successful Dry January! :)

    Now I'm doing Sugar-Free February.
I'm carrying on with no alcohol, plus I'm giving up Fox's Viennese biscuits, caramel panna cottas, sweets and drinks with added sugar.
Oh, and crisps, because I was starting to eat too many, and most aren't that nice anyway.
I don't eat chocolates and I don't buy other cakes and biscuits etc. much anyway, but I shall refuse any that are offered anywhere.

    Plus I'm restarting the 5:2.

  • I have started Weight Watchers Online - don't want to go to classes. I have done WW several times and Slimming World once - I lost weight on the WW each time, but didn't lose much with SW. But I always let it creep back on each time and now I am heavier than I have ever been :(

Anyway, I am motivated now and, having started on 14th January, have lost 6lb. So I am very pleased with that. A long way to go, but a start made. :)
