Aw MU
I hate warnings for sickness. You can't help it if you're sick!
I am bricking it for this interview next week. EEEEEK.
EDIT - cross posted with Code! I hope your dad recovers soonplease let your manager know though.

MU, it seems so unfair to get a warning when they know you were genuinely off sick. Is there any way you can appeal against it? It's good that they're looking at ways to help you stay well though.
Code, although you're only 3 days in would the fact that it's your old job, and therefore they know you wouldn't take time of unnecessarily, mean you could take it as leave? I hope all's okay with your dad today.0 -
Best wishes to your dad code.
MU, it does seem harsh being warned for being ill. Occupational health should be about understanding why you are ill and supporting you in your workplace so theoretically shouldn't be something to fear. But I work for a company with five employees so we have nothing like that, no rules for absence or anything similar. This page has some information that might be useful:

I hope they let you bring a union rep or colleague to the meeting where the warning was given.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
MU - I've worked in Occ Health and am always happy to answer any questions if that would help. Feel free to contact me (or ignore - either is fine
) I know it can seem scary and judgemental, but I really would like to reassure you that in my experience, the occ health team really are there to help.
Code - hope all's ok with your dad and that work is going ok too. Hopefully you'll be able to speak to your manager so they know what you're dealing with.
Ono - any news on your mum?
WaS and Pyxis - thinking of you my lovelies xx0 -

Tea, still waiiting for test results when I spoke to my dad. Will call them again tonight to see if there's any update, but mum is feeling better in herself now, though some of the gaps in her memory from the weekend are still there.

What sort of presentation - I've had to do the odd one for interviews. Got one job, not the other - make of that what you will. Pm me if you like. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Yeah, me too.
Top tip - if you are doing a presentation for a company, nick their logo off their website and use it as a header or footer on every slide. Makes the whole thing look professional and personalised.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

ono, I wouldn't worry too much about the gap. If your mum's memory was affected by something physical, it could affect one or both of the following.
1. recall
2. actually laying down the memories.
So if the physical thing is cured, it can help 2 as well, but doesn't mean she'll be able to recall incidents from when she was ill, IYSWIM.
WaS - are you there? It feels like you aren't on your own thread! We are discussing mental health for a change, instead of jobs! :rotfl:Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Very little sleep last night - stomach pains I think are anxiety, but a new manifestation for me.
Going to hide in the fort.
Hope your dad is getting all the help he needs, code. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
