Hooray tea! Even being offered the job is a tremendous achievement so be happy at that. :T:j:beer:

As for the panic, I think it's important to separate what is fear of change from what your gut is telling you, which is something I didn't do. Please don't let my experiences put you off. Did you get a good feeling about the job at the interview?

    Also, you hate your job

    tea, what a fantastic achievement!

    How was your day, code?

We did some new songs at zumba. Always when I finally begin to get to grips with the old ones, we get new ones! I am improving in fitness but not in rhythm.

Right, need to get on with my gluing.

My day was... weird. I'm back at the exact same desk I was at before. I opened the drawer and all the stationery I left was still there. Aside from the fact that I didn't have a computer for most of the day, I'd have felt like I never left. Which is good in one way because it feels very familiar and secure and everyone seemed happy to see me, but the same frustrations are arising too. It does honestly feel like I just went on holiday or something.

Oh well, day 2. Let's see.

I can see how that would be weird code - especially being at exactly the same desk! Hope today goes well.

I've just realised that my boss is abroad and in meetings for most of the next week and a half - so looks like I'll be sending him an email to resign...... so he probably won't even notice I've gone :rotfl:.

New place said they hoped to have an offer letter with me by the end of the week, so should be all systems go after that. Let's hope my references come back ok!

Tea, congratulations on the job offer. I think it's perfectly natural to be a bit worried about change, just try to remember the number of days this job has nearly reduced you to tears and the ridiculous amount of travel/early starts you've had to do and I'm sure the new job will seem a lot less scary.

Can someone please give me a kick up the bum to get a CV sorted. I've been in this job for so long that I wouldn't even know where to start but I am so fed up with the atmosphere here that I think it's probably time to start looking elsewhere.

    Morning my Lovelies,

Squishes and handshakes and hugs all round.

Ono, sorry to hear about your mum. Fingers crossed it is something as simple as a water infection.

Well done Tea on the new job. Code glad you are feeling happier back in your old new job :rotfl:if that makes any sense.

Not much to say off to see AM's parents this evening and they where away at the weekend so taking card and pressie and AD with us later. Our local asda had over bought so 50% off all mother days flowers and plants so got a nice bucket filled with plants for her.

Not sure why but at the moment getting really anxious about silly stuff. Did I lock the car or the house, put the handbrake on etc. Not sure where that is coming from. But need to stamp on it. Sat here at the moment thinking I have not done something or done something wrong and getting worried and up tight about it. And want to cry.

I have given up on couch to 5k as my my lower half just seems to be aching a lot at the moment!!!! But hope to get back in to it again very soon.

Not sure I am going to get much done today. Just feel shattered. Loads to do and just no interest. I know it takes time but things are taking so long to get sorted and tided up. Getting me down even though I am not a tidy person.

Everyone take care and catch up with you all soon.

    Yours

oh on a side note can anyone tell me why my ex lodger keeps looking at my profile page on a website.

Would have thought seeing as he owes me close to £400 he would have had kept a low profile!!!!

Need to sort that out and send him a letter before action to take him to small claims. I know I will never get the money but worth a try.

Got a verbal warning yesterday for having 4 periods of sickness in the past 4 months. And a meeting with area manager and occ health to look forward to :(

Only plus side is thats my manager bsscially agreed to me working a max of 6 hours per shift. Seeing doctor next week and csn hopefully get a fit note to support that. I've realised that 7/8 hour shifts trigger mood swings either making me suicidally depressed of floridly hypermanic. So hopefully limiting my shifts means i can avoid the negative effect on my mood.

I'm so exhausted. Penguin about illness/hospitals
My dad got rushed to hospital yesterday so my siblings and I mostly spent the afternoon and evening in the waiting room, with the occasional visit to see him (only allowed two at a time so we took turns). Didn't get home til 11pm and I hadn't eaten all day, then once I did get to bed, I kept waking up and checking my phone. Only 3 days in to the job so I can't even phone in sick. My dad has been moved to another hospital because the specialists are based there, so fingers crossed he doesn't need surgery because he's old and really frail. He was just lying there with tubes all over him, doped up on morphine. He still managed to charm the nurses and doctors though.
    end penguin

I feel my productivity isn't going to be great today.
