  • Back at work, which I don't mind as it's very quiet, both on the roads and in stuff coming in the email.

Back for one day, then off to annoy another relative. I don't think I planned it very well - not enough down time before I go back to work.

I had a vague idea that I would stay with my brother and his family until Tuesday, but in the end left on Boxing day simply to give myself a free day at home to recover before coming back to work. Glad that I did now, despite doing very little apart from eat I was completely worn out! Though I seem to have picked up a cold from somewhere along the way (and half a stone in weight since a week ago  )

Meeting a friend for beer and snooker tonight, though my alcohol intake will be restricted to a half due to driving (which is a good thing, any more would send me to sleep). Shouldn't be late home though as he has a family, and don't want to cancel as we haven't met up for months for one reason or another.

    Best wishes melly.

Don't suppose you want to come to my house and organise me as well?
Did it go better than you thought?

  • Well done, Lambyr! And breathe! It is over, you did it!!

Can I look at the news yet or is it still bad for me? I haven't seen any news since Christmas Eve.

I am okish, I am still really upset over my friend's daughter. I now feel pathetic because my friend is getting on with things and I seem to be in a worse place than she is. She said she had been expecting it for years and had lost hope which in a horrid way is helping her now, she had already grieved. I had a lot of hope, I wouldn't even contemplate this. I wish I could have done more.

  • Ah, ok. Thank you for the tip! I really don't need anything else to make me sad right now.

And remember that the new year is the time that the TV scrolls through the names of everyone famous that died during the year, so avoid those at all costs.

Forgot to reply to ww. - I got some silver cardboard A4 sized boxes on ebay - I think it was about £10 for 10 and they were the perfect size once I'd added tissue paper.
