Congratulations Tea.
As much as I love the socialising part of Christmas and catching up with friends I don't get to see all that often I think I may be too old for this lark. I'm so tired that I need matchsticks for my eyes!!onomatopoeia99 wrote: »Congratulations tea
Am feeling slightly fragile this morning after office Christmas do yesterday afternoon then met a friend after for more drinks. I was careful to pace myself but even so I'm another that's getting too old for this!
(Cue very smug look....... )
I went out to my AmDram dinner last night, but I feel fine this morning! (Well, apart from the wretched cough)
That's 'cos I don't drink when I'm out!
(Exit with smug look!)

I have done very little work since I got in (luckily I am the boss). I just want to lie down and have a nap in the sunshine.
Has anyone got a favourite recipe for a non-alcoholic Christmas punch that I can serve on Christmas Day?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

As a "Merry Christmas" to the rest of the 'housemates', I brushed up the leaves in the garden, bagged up a hoarded pile of rotten wood from behind the shed and dismantled some rotten garden furniture.
That made 4 bags of leaves, 3 bags of rotten wood and a pile of rotten planks to be collected by a waste collection service (at my expense) today.
It was all there ready to be collected when I left the flat this morning.
At the house, I packed up the last of the stuff to go into storage to be collected tomorrow. Mini fridge, microwave, chair, TV table and 3 boxes of 'stuff', some of it fragile.
So I finished at the house and went back to the flat to wait for the waste men.
To find,
wait for it.....
7 bags of complete rubbish missing and the rotten furniture piled up in the driveway of the next door neighbour's house.
I did go look for them but they were gone.
I went up the drive to check the NDN's bins, went up the other NDN's drive and checked their bins and I went round the front to find nothing in my bins.
I did find a screwed up Amazon delivery card telling me that my parcels were behind my bins.
No they weren't, they were on my doormat, inside the house.
Someone, has taken in my parcels and someone (the same someone?) has saved me about £40, as half the rubbish was missing.
I've spoken to people from both the other flats in the shared house and they had no idea either.
Nope. No idea.
Thank you whoever you are, Merry Christmas. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Cheer me on, folks...1 big strain and I will be able to get rid of my piles first thing in the morning! A pile free Xmas will be the most comfortable one I have had in years...
(Punch will need to do about 4 - 10 people, depending on whether we are sympathetic to the drivers - and join their alcohol freedomness) or not):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
