Belated happy birthday WaS - Gitdog snogs coming your way. Especially if you have takeaway and/or socks. He's happy to eat either. :)

I love socks. Especially stripey and fluffy ones. I want to wear fleecy pyjamas and fluffy socks and not go out until spring.

I feel a bit hard done by today. (Family!) Probably just feeling unsettled, having spent a lot of time with my lovely ER.

Didn't do anything I should have done.

I planted up some bulbs a while back into pots. They should have been planted and left outside as soon as I'd got them but I faffed about. So now they are inside and in big pots. The one I planted first has already spouted and is growing really quickly. It is fascinating. I am boring people to tears insisting they look at it.I don't even know what plants they are. So it's doubly exciting. (They were a job lot of bulbs, labelled up but I got muddled and I am not too hot on gardening anyway).

Ugh so much pain tonight, I can't sleep. Can't even call in sick tomorrow as you have to be there 12 weeks to qualify for sick leave and I've only been there for 10 :(

Hope you managed to get some sleep after that, code.

Only a couple of weeks until you do qualify for sick leave. (I guess if you take sick leave today it is unpaid? Or are there worse consequences?)

I don't want my day to start.

I had a truly awful day at work yesterday. Today I just want to hide under the covers and not come out ever again.
Trying to look at the positives, at least it can only get better today.

Sounds like work was all-round rubbish yesterday..... here's to a better day! So far have driven for 2.5 hours and am now in the world's hottest meeting room. It's like a sauna. I'm usually a very cold person but I'm melting......the thick woolly tights may have been a big mistake!!

Am very much not in the mood to audit today.... this is not going to be my best work! On the plus side, the people I'm auditing will be happy as a) I'll leave early and b) I won't report it properly which makes less work for them. There absolutely has to be more to life than this.

Not mine, I was at home ill :rotfl: (but possibly for my colleagues who had to reply to the email I normally deal with) , had a 24h bug and spent most of yesterday sleeping / dozing. Given how badly I sleep normally, that's a pretty good indicator something was wrong.

Cleared up in the evening so back in the office today. -3C on the way to work this morning, but it's turned into a beautiful sunny day. Still very cold out though and apparently will be even colder tomorrow.

Can you adjust the radiators? It's what I'd do, or open a window.
