Yay? Guess that kind of depends on your commute - for me it's a disaster as Bristol grinds to a complete halt if there's snow on the roads, so many hills and so many people getting stuck.

Pyxis, Shooting the past is one of my all time favourites, and I have it on DVD. The conclusion of the first episode where Lindsay Duncan's character tells Lily's story is one of the most compelling sequences on television or film. The BBC didn't seem to know what to do with it, putting it out on BBC2 at 10.30 on Sunday evenings when almost no-one would be watching. It has been repeated once, I think, but that must be a decade ago now.

Yes, it was certainly one of the best drama series I have ever seen. It was repeated, and I watched the repeat,
    too.
It was so compelling, despite being so quiet and calm and slow-moving, though maybe that was why!

It was like a huge puzzle being slowly put together, until, right at the end, you saw the whole picture.

    No snow here, just rain.

My experience of Bristol is that it frequently grinds to a halt even without snow! It's technically warmer here today (as it's pouring with rain), but no one has told my feet that and I'm still freezing.

Ono.... I saw Bastille. Really good gig, flipping knackered today though. I am too old for school-night fun :D

It's cold, wet and miserable and I can't believe how populated by complete and utter morons the world is. Can someone please stop it, I want to get off...

    I agree. :(:(:(

Is there a planet where enlightened, peace-loving, tolerant people can go and live?

I am not 'down' but am so fed up for no other reason than I am on my period (grumpy totm) that I don't even care that Donald Trump won.

I managed to talk DH into covering my first hour at work so I could go and buy enough horlicks to get the emma bridgwater mug. I like horlicks and now have enough for our Fort Mars trip!

There is nothing wrong at all but whatever I am doing I wouldn't want to be doing it. I carn't be 'arrised.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
