Argh, don't encourage him! Ok.... I'll do some work
My boss has just sent me some (beautiful!) photos of his teeny baby. Am genuinely happy for him, just wish that one day I could get to the point of being happy without the side-order of:mad::(

Now that I'm actually at work I'm procrastinating like it's an Olympic sport
Arrival routine at work : kettle, make tea, check email for anything catastrophic, check online banking, weather forecast, check personal email, BBC news, check has anything interesting / catastrophic arrived in my inbox in the meantime? Yes : do it, No : check MSE ..... do normal work
Despite that, I have actually done quite a bit of normal work already this morning, :rotfl: (first of the month means billing run overnight so have to make sure the scripts all fired and did vaguely what they are supposed to).
The main thing that keeps me awake at night is work, was so worried about some maintenance done by our hosts last night which required the servers being taken offline that I woke up in a panic at 2.30 and had to get up and check everything had restarted properly and the servers had all resynced properly (if they don't, it's a nightmare to sort out). I couldn't wait until morning as I'd not have been able to sleep for worrying. Got back to sleep in the end for a couple of hours before the alarm, but very tired today as a result.

I think I win the gold. I have sent one work related email. . That's literally all work related tasks I have to do for the day.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
(((( Tea ))))
I can sympathise, I had to steer clear of Facebook yesterday because I couldn't cope with the number of "don't my kids look cute all dressed up for Hallowe'en" posts.
Code, that is pretty impressive procrastination!! Also, that dress is beautiful and it's not so pale that it's going to be mistaken for white so it'll be fine.
I'm also finding it very hard to motivate myself, not helped by the fact that neither of my bosses are in and hadn't even let us know - if we hadn't asked reception/sent a text to one of them at just gone 10 we'd still be none the wiser as to whether or not either of them were coming in today.0 -

Meant to say, code, the lindybop dress looks lovely, though going as Ursula would be cooler than anythingProud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

Yep - go as Ursula!!
Inappropriate comment of the day (or possibly year) has just been won by a woman at work... we were discussing said boss who has just had first baby. This woman then told us that she'd said to him last year that he couldn't be married and not have children. I asked her why not, she said I was exempt as I'm not married.

code I love the dress too (have you bought it yet).
WaS, come back. We miss you. (It's fine if you need to not be here because you are processing stuff. It's not fine if you think you are too anything to be bothering us. Insert any self-hating phrase there.
There is nothing that you can have done, thought or said, or that has happened to you that will stop us partying on your thread with you. You get my drift. I've ever known you be gone so long.).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
