I've made a loaf of bread, its just out of the oven and smells gorgeous! It was from a ready mix but I'm proud of myself.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Well done Faerie! You have been so very brave. I am crossing everything for you.
It sounds like code was very brave too. Big hugs.
Get well soon ono, bugs are horrid!
Well done, Torry! I miss making fresh bread, I used to make several loaves a week with all different things in them. I loved making focaccia with sundried tomatoes and olives, it is surprisingly easy and far, far cheaper than buying it.
I was thinking the same thing, Pyxis. There will be boundaries that the nurse cannot cross because I am her patient so thank you for the idea of emailing her. I shall do that.
In WaS's Constant Quest to Save The World (I know it's ridiculous) I have a new conundrum. I know of a young person who has severe Borderline Personality Disorder and is constantly in and out of long stay hospitals as a result. Her mother was one of my colleagues back when I was working and a very good friend of mine but we lost touch when I became ill. I knew the girl when she was a toddler and got on well with the whole family, but I also know that things were very difficult for them at the time.
I really want to get in touch with them and say if I can help, if you all need a friend, I am here. The girl has made a video diary open to the world of her time spent in hospital and her fight to be well so I know she doesn't mind people knowing but can I just walk back into people's lives 20 years later? Ideally I would like to contact her mother first but I can't find a way to do so. What bothers me is I knew the family at a time that was very difficult as I said and that could have been some of the trigger for her BPD, would I be a reminder of the bad times if I got in contact? My heart breaks for her because I remember this happy little girl who used to play with me, she was an adorable child and I still have a huge soft spot for her and her mother.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

WaS your compassion shines through. As the video diary is public then I think getting in touch would be fine, she may well be pleasant for you to remember her after so long.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Yes, I agree, WaS.
Maybe that's why she did a public diary, because she would really like some help.
Are you going to draw me a bird for my thread?(I just lurve spiders!)

Thank you, I shall contact her. I really don't want to make things worse for her but at the same time I do care and to an extent I understand what she is feeling. It's so sad to see the little girl I remember in so much pain now as an adult. If nothing else I want to show her that there is another person on her side and wishing her well. I just really care about what happens to her.

No TV, radio, fbook, general internet browsing as everything is making me feel awful at the moment. Even struggling with this thread. No idea what is going on!
